Bookmark topic
SE has broke 2 things towards his loyal consumers:
-K850 has been released with 4 months late
-The price is too high for a K phone, about 100$ more than the K800 when released
AND THIS IS A SHAME

Hi there!
I too have just ordered my K850i from O2.
Keeping my existing contract of 200 xmins with rollover and 200 texts with rollover for £30 pm and no charge for the phone.
Happy!!!!
ur'e happy that ur paying £30 a month for 200 min and 200 txts? wow some ppl are easily pleased, id say o2 are taking the piss for charging u dat for just 200 min and 200 txts
Its with rollover, so whatever he doesnt use up goes into the next month. The minutes really do add up if you dont use them all.
thats beside the point, rollover doesnt justify paying £30 a month for just 200 minutes. these sort of minutes are available from £15-£20 on most networks. and the only way that he'd build up a significant amount of rollover minutes is if he only uses 100-150 min a month, and has between 50-100 rolling over 2 the next month. but wots the point in this?? if he isn't even using the 200 min hes gettin, what benefit is it gonna be to have 500 rollover mins? they keep building up, but if ur a light user then it aint gonna be any benefit, no matter how much youve built up.

@Bhavv, right! Instead you get an awkwardly designed D-pad! What were they smoking when they designed that? It looks like a total mess.
Have you used it yet? I think it looks great and should be easy enough to use.

Yea thats fair enough. The only way you would benefit from rollover is by not using the minutes, and if your not using them they are just going to waste. One of the new £30-35, or even a cheap £20 tariff would be better.

Amazon.co.uk are showing pictures of the green phone on their pre-order.
Don't really mind, but would prefer the blue one!
It's costing me £310.57 including next day delivery (that is if the postal strike doesn't get in the way!) which is the without-VAT price.
Oh, and delivery is currently showing 10/11 October.

The release price for K800 here in Sweden was around 600 USD, so the difference is not that much considering what K850 has to offer compared to K800.
How much difference is it between N95 and N95 8G to justify a price difference of around 200 USD (once again, Swedish prices) ?

Don't have to. The second I saw that pad I knew it would be a mess. I go to a very prominent design school here in the US, and can tell that it's very counter-intuitive just by looking at it! Plus I've read about three previews on the K850 that have ALL mentioned it in very negative light, or noted it's awkward design, confirming my initial suspicion... Don't get me wrong, I was psyched about this phone too when I first heard about it's specs, until I saw the controls in promotional photos. Plus it doesn't help that I've owned 5 Sony Ericssons, three of which had some rubbish controls. Tell you what, YOU buy it and then try to convince me that it's a dream to use after a month or so of serious use, then we'll talk. I guess we should all just be happy that they've given up on trying to make a functioning joystick huh?.... Wonder if their upcoming Playstion phone will have a joystick tho?.... Hmmmm... Oh grief....

well i seen the dummy model and frm that experiance the d-pad is really nice and easy 2 use, but the 2,5 keys inside it seem like they are gonna be a nitemare unless u got tiny fingers. on the dummy model it was 2 easy to press the d-pad wen pressin the 2 or 5 buttons.
yea thats my point regarding the minutes, no point in rolling over if u aint gonna use them. he can get a far better deal for £15-20 a month.

the green one looks way classier cos its all black, the silver on the blue one just looks tacky and cheap. if they made the blue on like the green it would be perfect. dunno y they had 2 make them different. and they shoulda just stuck to somehow keeping the d-pad away from the number keys.

Ah well ... we'll just see which one turns up then eh!
Just looking forward to replacing my W810i, so whichever it is I'll be excited!
