I installed the W3 on my P1i using trial version of Xplore (LCG) n its working fine so far with no issues etc. I have couple of other players installed like Alon, Core Player & LCG Jukebox too. I use a HPM-90 earphone (neodymium magnet & Oxygen Free Copper cables) that easily handles clean sound at pumped up volumes. I also have a 4gb memory card installed from Scandisc loaded with songs. A critical analysis- First, i do not see any additional benefits like Sense Me (automatically segregates the songs as per the moods using algorithm) & Stereo Wide etc in the installed W3 which is otherwise a standard on Sony Ericsson Walkman phones. Sound quality, ease of handling, base & spatial stereo separation of W3 is same as the default player of P1i except that it has animated skins & mood/rating allocations etc. However, one thing that i have found that is the P1i default player & Walkman 3 sound has better spatial stereo separation playback at all frequencies than the best UIQ3 multimedia players like Core Player & LCG Jukebox. Core Player has an extra pre amp to boost db in songs/albums with low recording levels. Core Player & LCG Jukebox has an edge however with the manual equiliser in which you can enhance the base thump by boosting the low frequencies in comparison to the pre set Mega bass in default & W3 player. LCG Julebox adds an extra feature of Lyrics downloads & streaming internet radio. Alon mp3 player sound distorts badly at low frequencies if the low frequencies are boosted and does not allow other regular functions when player is on(hangs the phone). I trust my experience & review will be helpful to the visiting members

one thing i have noticed with W3 player is that updating music files is a hell of a lot faster than with the original P1 music player. and playlists load pretty much instantly, as opposed to having to wait for P1 player to load playlists after a couple of minutes.

i use an 8GB M2 with almost 2600 songs on it so it does make a huge difference for me. some of my playlists have 200 to 300 songs in them so the slow load times of the P1 player used to really put me off. but with W3 player, everything is just great!
