It looks good but by the time it's out the features will be bettered by other phones.

I guess it will be 2010 before SE get HD video recording. Samsung is going to have this in 2009.

Symbian Foundation devices (Idou perhaps?) will have HD in 2009 too thanks to ST Ericsson's newly developed U8500 chip, as per this statement in a press release during the MWC:

"The U8500, which relies on the Nomadik application-processor technology, integrates the latest SMP (Symmetric Multi-Processing) ARM dual-Cortex A9 CPU in a high-performance, low-power and cost-optimized platform supporting Symbian Foundation software. The chip is the first device enabling full High-Definition 1080 progressive-scan camcorder functions. With its combination of a dual-core SMP processor and its high-end 3-D graphics accelerator, the chip delivers a unique PC-like Web-browsing experience on next-generation Smartphones."

@QVGA

Different style of marketing, brother... Samsung and SE seem to be aiming at wholly different age (and/or income) groups.

The Omnia is nice but I mean it's only essentially a beefed up 5800. S60 5th edition is still sluggish to use at times. I am impressed with the screen of the Omnia HD but to be honest almost every video I have seen so far I have noticed whoever is using it encoutners at least one situation where they try to do something several times before it actually does it on screen. The W995 is more an overall non TS package kind of like the N95 was for Nokia.

That clip thing at the back of the phone will get scratched very easily especially as its metal and sticking out.

Also the slider pieces look like there is too much gap there. Is that normal or should someone be worried? What was it like with the w900 and w910?
