As far as I know XNTD does NOT work with Outlook EXPRESS but only with Outlook (comes with MS Office).

Billionton BT dongle
T68i
ipaq 5450
Notebook XP pro Sp1

When I install the v1.3.2.7 from the bilionton site (this is looks like the full set of Widcomm BTW even has the BT stack monitor/debugger) install works perfect same goes to bluetooth. BUT BUT my whole DNS system dies off.

I do not have problem with pairing etc BUT

After I install this version (no older Bt software is installed on this machine) I get a warning from my Mcafee (virus scanner) indicating that my ipstack has been updated or replaced. Not a very worrying message as Bluetooth will introduce a new ip stack.
After this everything other than resolving names trough DNS works. So I can ping or open a web page as long as I type the ip instead of the name.

Uninstalling the BT does not cure the problem too. Luckily I got my XP restored to a safe point. I have tried more than once same result each time.

Strange! Has any body encountered such problem? Any Suggestions
There are few more around having problems with XP but seems different

Yes!!! My whole network setup in XP goes bananas if i install the TDK dongle. I thought it was something to do with my particular setup, but i never really considered the possibility that my IP stack has been replaced (it quite likely has been even now, with the bluetooth dongle not installed).

I think i might try doing a reinstallation of XP over the top of my current installation. My network setup seems so fragile, and my mcafee virusscan hasn't done an auto update in 40 days..just doesn't work.

@onionz, nippit
Mcaffee/XP/bluetooth conflict ???

@calvin
1st tests have been made, actually works great, i keep on working this out to write a clean and hopefully efficient howto

@ c0mm0n
Conflict although I would not rule this out it is very unlikely.

Because mcafee does not really interfere with the ip stack but who knows.

The only thing for sure is DNS system goes off. DNS is very high level in the IP stack.
When this happens normal ip (by numbers only) communication I is OK. Mcafee would not work as it need so resolve names.

BTW my Mcafee is ver7.x

well after 4 hours of test, i've found a howot that seem to work - 5 times in a row succefully tested, waiting for feedback from friends to validate -

Here's my actual howto - tested with t68i r2 and msi v373 -

Delete any pairing between t68i and pc - on both sides -
Delete any pairing between t68i and any headset
On windows, launch a service detection on the t68i, you should a "voice gateway" profile
On the t68i, go to bluetooth/paired devices/add device/prai by tel/PC/
When the t68i says "Prepare your pc", double click on the "voice gateway" service you've just discovered on windows
The t68i ends its search - on windows side you get "impossible to connect" but no panic -
The pc should be discovered, just pair it

Your PC should now be the t68i headset,

to check this and handle how they'll work together, you'll find a "headset sound" in bluetooth/option and also a way to check you're connected in connections/accessory - hbh should appear, clicking on it, creates or recrates connection between t68i and pc -

nb :
- this pairing method hasn't prevented me from using a serial connection between my pc and the phone, so if you do'nt have any headset yet you won't have to modify your settings for ohter purposes
- the t68i doesn't allow 2 headset at the same time..i'd wish it could manage these with a check box in the accessory menu or even better with the profiles - the profile issue on the t68 doesn't seem to manage the accessories...even if there's a menu.. -

Ok guys... I have Windows ME and a mitsumi bud. Here's a problem:

I installed the Anycom software and put the mitsumi inf file on c:\windows\inf The pc recognised the mitsumi as TDK usb dongle.

Everything worked ok with t68i except XTND synch. It showed a epmworker error and kernel32.dll doing a fatal error or so. Now after I restarted my pc and done loads of stuff on it I decided a few days later to use the bud again. The pc and phone recognise and pair but when I try to send a file from or to pc it no longer works! It says "Could not send file"...
I'll try to unistall and install but do you have any suggestions? And what about the synch?
I don't know if this might be due to loads of programs I have installed or previous errors I had when installing the Anycom / Widcomm software.

Thanks a lot
