I am just reading What Digital Camera mag. There is a shootout review of a Canon £80 digital camera a495 along side the IPhone 4,HTCHD2,Sony Ericsson X10,Samsung Galaxy and Nokia N8. The Nokia came top along side the Canon then the iPhone 4 scored 4 half stars and the X10 only scoring 3 stars among a team of photo experts. Galaxy S also only scored 3 stars with the HTC last. Made interesting reading but I knew the Nokia would be top.

I got my N8 on Friday and I love it. The camera is seriously good even under the influence of a few beers! Obviously the interface is not as smooth and simple as my iPhone but I'm not a smooth and simple person! The interface is nowhere near as bad as some reviewers make out and a bit of complexity is a good thing when you're used to it!
So far I prefer it to my iPhone and it does certain things better like the time it takes to call or answer the phone (especially with bluetooth kit) is much lower. Plus it integrates better with my bluetooth car stereo allowing the stereo to control the phone (play/pause, skip track). Another handy feature which I didn't predict using as much was the FM transmitter; proves massively useful and the radio even comes up as "Nokia" for the station name!
But yea, a truely great phone in my opinion. The camera is easily as good as a point-and-shoot camera and just as fast.
I never thought I'd say this but the lack of apps was more of an issue than I thought it would be. It's only when you lose massively easy access to FB, Reddit, etc. when you truely appreciate it. I'm sure it won't be long before they pop up in the Ovi store but currently the browser can't quite get it right at the moment.

Is it really a lack of apps ? or maybe a lack of quantity ? remember 99% of all iPhone apps are novelty and useless.
Symbian apps tend to be more productive since Symbian is a smartphone OS. iOS is not.

Symbian has always been popular with business people. Nokia smartphones have always been classed as the business phones. Yes alot of iphone apps are useless i mean why have a stupid cat on a screen farting and yawning so pointless. Anyway has anyone found any bugs or issues yet? Or is it looking stable?

Have just got mine this morning and as with all my other Symbian handsets I have purchased in the past I instantly downloaded and purchased SPB Shell and Gravity...
SPB shell replaces the standard homescreen with a (IMO) better alternative. Better widget layout and its now fullscreen so woop woop!
And Gravity for Twitter and Facebook is just simply THE best client on Symbian and possibly other OS's lol.
As for the phone??? i'm still a little on the fence. Yes it looks good and is solidly built but the OS does leave a little to be desired when moving from the iPhone and Android... But i will give it some time and at least SPB makes it more user friendly and looks fantastic!
