Samsung have already come 2nd in the market & are selling massive amounts of phones. They are now biting Nokia's backside & one of the top dogs now. Gone are the days when Samsung phones were like toys many years ago
Off course they are selling this lot. They're dumping the market with all sorts of phones. Bada, Android, Symbian, WM6.1/6.5 whatever they even made a crappy WM7 development-device. Unfortunatly they DON'T look at these lot after they dumbed them. They provide no updates, remove no bugs, don't listen to customer complaints. They're a company with no vision or long term commitment to their customers. They just flood the market with crappy chinese consumer crap. They're just a bunch of retarded assholes.
At least SE appears to listen to their customers as I have experienced first hand with my K550i-problems. While Samsung let me rot when I had problems with my SGH-I900 Omnia (1). In fact the Omnia 2 looks in nothing like it's predecessor, It's a completely different design (it's no more then a ridiculously recylcled JET with WM6.1/6.5) instead of building upon excisiting features and actually improving them they REMOVED the good stuff and added bad stuff with the Omnia II. Except the screen. Wich seem to be the only focus point these days. All those bloody review sites always brag about the nice screens! While the rest o/t features go from bad to worse! Even the iPhone is going worse then its already bad former cousin.
We're doomed!

I was impressed wth the amoled screen on the desire, but the super amoled, even in these pictures, looks pretty good!
I hope/assume HTC will use these in future devices
if you haven't seen it,
here's a comparison in sunlight between the galaxy S, desire and X10. Despite my enthusiasm for the Desires screen, it is clearly outshone by the Galaxy S and even the X10 screen is pretty good!
Oh for god's sake! Do you only care about the nice screen!!!!
That devices hasn't got a led-flash anymore. So kiss goodbey that handy LED-torch that all those others have.
It seems that these days everyone cares about the screen but NOT about the actual useable features.
I'd rather have a less screen but LED flash(that I can use as a lamp with optional software), incall-recording, good call quality without dropped calls (or "learn" how to hold your fecking phone), Full outlook synchronisation (including categories for contacts) etc..
But hey, I'm not one of those bloody facebook/twitter-morrons like everybody else!
some truth there
I'd accept a crappier screen in my Desire if in turn I'd be allowed to delete useless stuff from MY phone that I paid for... Frienstream and a poor twitterclient and a rubbish satnav trial and a rubbish stock widget and and and... can I delete them from MY phone that lacks memory for apps?
Godforbid.
I said years ago when suddenly every phone NEEDED gps, "how lost can we all get?", things are gettin' stupid. Now they're judged on their twitfitness and gosh retinality...pffft.

Sony Ericsson listens to it's customers

Oh come on

Samsung by the way do have an update feature for their smartphones & they are not Chinese they are Korean

Why are you so stressed about it so much if it bothers you so much don't comment

If your not interested why so much bother with it? EDIT: Samsung hardly need updates cos from my experience with them they rarely suffer many bugs unlike

@etaab: Any day I'll also prefer Nokia over others for their robustness. I have had uncountable handsets in last 10 years. From the past I've learn that Nokia is overall best and top among others, but symbian has been become boring day by day.
But Galaxy S is really good phone. if it doesn't have android then I won't but it.
For the note: Android has 1 billion apps. Here is the
Link if anybody wants to read it.
@epdm: Long live SonyEricsson...... Long live SonyEricsson...... Long live SonyEricsson...... Long live SonyEricsson...... Long live SonyEricsson...... Long live SonyEricsson...... Long live SonyEricsson...... Long live SonyEricsson...... Long live SonyEricsson...... Long live SonyEricsson...... now calm down.

what?
c'mon, the wave is decent, and the galaxy seems okay.
Jet, a total disaster. no fix. galaxy spica? so so sandpaper screen, android 1.6, no update. Omnia Pro 7310 - ridiculous winmo skinjob, no updates, loose slider, pathetic plastic screen...
need I mention Samsung's 1st "iPhone kkiller" with its weird croix ui...what was it? f7000?
I believe phones are getting worse. E72 with its nonsense optical dpad wasnt even worth upgrading to from an e63, nevermind an e71.
But sorry,
I think we're all off-topic

@Jkovacz: I haven't bought any models from Samsung that you've mentioned. So who cares. Doesn't improve camera make any sence on E72 along with the optical dpad, loooooong lasting battery life, free office soft?
Now you see the point, Half of world admit that E71 is the major update of nokia but here you don't even mind it.
Everybody has their own personal choice. Some people die for LED and Some people die for Xenon and others even don't mind both.

those Samsungs sold in the millions - who cares if YOU owned them. The e72 has a 5 mp cam, yes, but when you disable the fiddly optical dpad, the autofocus doesnt work anymore. Innovative, eh!
Your standard reply is: some like this, some like that...pffft
You should patent that and go into marketing or politics.

Other way, E72 sold in the millions, who cares if YOU owned it or not or don't like the dpad or not.
