be honest, Rogers have a cheap and good plans at a good cost compared to Fido. But the reception is unbearable!!! I have both a Fido and a Rogers sim card, I pay for prepaid from fido to use at weekdays, and use the unlimited weekends from Rogers(I don't have to pay anything until next month).

Fido's GSM network is way better, but Roger's long distance support is better(according to my dad who is a frequent traveller in north america).

As well, zero cost for the phone is very luring from Rogers, but not much have realize they have a 2 year contract to follow. I kno each year you can get a Fido's phone for free at only 3 months contract as well u get a bunch of stuff free in Toronto. Last year is the Nokia 3390, this year is the Sony Ericsson T200.

I'm a foreigner often visiting to Canada. Is there a prepaid GSM account in Canada that gives me GPRS? This message was posted from a P800

u think that rogers is not better reception wise?
I dunno man..
some ppl had better reception with their rogers device than my T68i (fido)
but my P8 totally blows em all away
fido roaming is pretty good I think
and I love the fact that there is no contract

What difference doe sa contract make nowadays anyway? Most of us don't buy their phones we get them somewhere else and stick the sim card in. In Canada we only have FIDO or Rogers so either way you're stuck.

Hi Guys! I got a T68i Sony Ericsson from AT&T USA. Dont ask why. lets just say I got it for a good price. I called a rogers store to ask them if I had to unlock the phone and they told me that I dont. So I went and got myself a contract but the phone says "insert correct sim card". I think it has to be unlocked but I'm not sure so can you guys tell me if it has to be unlocked and where and how much it usualy cost to unlock it. Thanx
