I had big dilema between Sylwester’s and mlife’s shot. Both pics are great and difficult to capture. Sly’s photo got better composition and quality but unfortunately that gecko merge with grass. There is no contrast between main subject of the picture and the background. If not mlife’s shot it would be a winner.

Mlife shot got worse quality and composition but he caught the right moment. I know how hard is to capture such shot. Probably he has the same stroke of luck like I had 1 year ago with strawberry. Perfect moment of taking shot + good contrast of the background = truly deserved 1st place.

My vote goes to mlife

Btw. Congratulations Ricky! I guess there is a reason to celebrate

@9_destiny, thanks but I'm not celebrating until they're both born in full health.

I reasoned exactly the same thing between your shot and mlife's. Subject was pretty close to perfect for both (mlife slightly edging it), but better composition and overall quality tipped my vote the other way.
