I decided to get one today. It felt so weird parting ways with my trusty Note 3 but wanted to try a different brand to Samsung
Seems like a nice phone, a little bit of lag here and therebut a different launcher definitely helps. I might trythe ART vs Dalvik later on for now i just got it

First thing to do with any of these Android phones is switch off Developer Options Animations.Usually helps a tad bit with lag.

Maybe LG is going down the same road as Samsung and adding too much to their UI or maybe it has to do with the pixel density of the screen. Either way phones with quad core SoC clocked at 2 plus Ghz should not be lagging. It just shows that something is wrong and needs to be done properly.

Changing the launcher helps but obviously it is not lag free. However to my eyes we are talking about micro lag- to me it is not that visible
Anyway thank you Hobbs for the advice I will try that plus I will switch to ART to see if it is making a difference
To be hones only 2 things are bothering me so far with this phone
1) on screen buttons - I hate it
2) outdoors visibility in sun sucks - even worst than Note 3

I am thinking of jumping ship from Samsung as well, not until the end of the year though if I do. The LG G3 is the only phone I have looked at at lot though. Samsung needs to make changes to their UI and their bloatware. I am rooted and I have frozen a number of unnecessary apps.
To the G3. Most of the reviews praise the screen but say that outdoors in sunlight it is average or weak. I thought that would QHD on a LCD screen it would have been much better than the Note 3.

It is good however unless you watch a video or look at photos it is not that easy to tell the difference to a fhd screen. Personally i still prefer the samsung amoled screens but LG G3 is a very good screen as well (outdoors visibility aside)
One thing that attracted me (besides obviously the high resolution screen) was the design - lovely indeed. And for a 5.5 inches screen it feels so compact
