@Orn8one
I use Pjotter V2 to prepare SMS and emails. You need to teach PJotter words by feding it a large document (long letter). I fed my copy a few documents and since then its dictonary has been growing. It is reasonably easy to use and it is quick enough.

Yo DragonFly,
Excellent work!!!!
Hope you're ok after the accident.
Some of the suggestions posted seem to be slightly rediculous/hard for just a few people, but there are a few major programs which could make you a fortune. Hell- if you can make the things I've listed below (and from the sounds of it you already have) then you have at least 2 weeks salaries from me!
I think the most wanted programs for the P800 are as follows: (I have tried to put them roughly in order)
1. T9. This is essential! Try searching
http://www.howardforums.com (The UIQ board) or
http://www.esato.com (P800 board) and just look at how many people are begging for T9. To start with basic T9, like found on a plain Nokia 3310. I mean proper T9, using the keys, not handwriting recognition kind of thing - like, from what I've heard (but correct me if I'm wrong) Personal Jotter provides. It would be great if it integrated with the messaging/any other apps which would benefit from it, instead of being a text editor with T9 which you the copy the text out of and into the messaging app. Then you could move onto advance functions, like in the SE T610 the most used word you use for a certain key combination (for example 'of' and 'me' both come from pressing the same numbers) moves to the top of the selection list. I guarentee if you make this program you will sell more copies than you could ever expect! I would pay $50 for this program! In an earlier post it sounded like its nearly finished, and is indeed completed for flip open mode. If you could send me a copy of this program I would be soooooooo greatfull! I find it so hard to write text mesages using the handwriting recognition, particuarly in the car/train/bus, and multi-tap is just too slow. Plus handwriting recognition requires two hands - which is often very inconvenient. Flip closed mode would be nice, but I nearly always use my phone in Flip open mode. Pleease!!!
Perhaps as an extra, because this program is related to SMSing you could also bundle in an option to turn Delivery Reports pernamently on - as already mentioned in this thread. This problem has been bugging me for so long now!
2. Profiles - way to go you already seem to be developing this app! This is the second most requested feature that is missing from the T9! Many people require a discreet/outdoor profile as well as just 'normal' and silent. You will definitely sell many copies of this! I would only be able to afford $25 on this after spending the $50 on T9 though...
Someone said about blocking sms's - i would really prefer to see the program released and that added on later, if it will speed up the release date, because for me if i dont want to receive texts - particuarly at night, then I will just turn the phone off. Of course, this would not be possible for some users as they may rely on the p800 alarms. But I have a feeling that this would be very technically hard to do, as you will have to persuade the network to think that the phone is off, so that it queues sms's, but somehow also allow calls to get through. You're the genius though...
3. Video camera. I believe this program would be extremely difficult to develop due to limitations in the camera API which SE released. I will try and dig up a thread for you about this, but I will probably only be able to post late tommorow night (UK time) due to heavy work restrictions - i wont be back home til 2am tonight most likely. However, as already mentioned the P900/810 may be released soon (although I expect that this phone will be seriously delayed just like the p800 (and most/all(?) other SE phones), probably until at least Feb 04. But, when the p900 is released, most likely it will be possible to copy the video camera program off of it and onto the p800 (it may require a little hacking, as SE could put in some checks to make sure it's being run on a p900). BUT, in the mean time, if it is not too much of a big task (which i expect it could be for just one/a few people) this would be another great income opportunity! So many users are crying out for this program!
4. I don't know if any one else has noticed this, but 3 alarms is simply not enough for me. Could you make an app which enables you to have up to unlimited alarms (at least 10?). The feature set of the SE alarms is good though - weekly on day X, daily, just a one off occasion, work days (and you can specify what these are). So if you could encorporate those featuers then this would be a killer app. Maybe you could also bundle with this a repeating tasks feature - many users seem to think this would be useful, although it wouldn't benefit me - i rely on the good (bad?!) old memory!
5. The other apps, like the clock in closed mode sound great and would be really useful, but I think prioritising the first two will satisfy the most users and give the phone the best possiblities and of course, give you the most money. I would happily pay for all these apps!
If you would like help in the form of beta testers, then feel free to PM me, I would love to help! And also, the T9 program you said it was available now in flip open mode? I would love to have that program (I would pay if you like).
Thanks for saving the P800 software community!
Many many thanks,
Dave

@davenash,just glided through your post & noticed a few silly statements, hanwriting input can be "one handed" if you cradle the phone or put it down, also you say 3 alarms is not enough, you want at least 10, well you can have 1,000 or more regular alarms on that phone if you use "Calender" to set them up, you can have different alarm sounds for loads of them & set the repeats (7 different repeats on the p800 you need to scroll down on the page when your inputting the info), i think puting stuff on a phone is a waste of time if people like you can't be bothered to look for them.
Edit,a short video recording app IS available, it's on my p800. you can find it on here if you search.

Yes, I know about CamCoder, but as everyone has been requesting, sound and longer clips (limited by memeory instead of some network's mms limitations - i.e. ~10 seconds) would be a lot better.
My apologies about the calender's alarms mistake - I have never tried setting up the alarms in calender because I assumed that function was solely in the time app. I havn't really explored the calender app in much detail because I don't have much use for it.
Thank you very much for informing me about the alarms in calender though.
As for cradling the phone when using hand writing recognition - yes its possible but quite fiddly, and doesnt really work for me when on the move - ie walking or even in a car (not driving!) etc, it jogs around too much.
I did not like the way you described me as a person who 'cannot be bothered to look for stuff'. I have explored all other apps on the P800 in great depth, and am extremely knowledgable about the phone. It's just I had no use for the calender app (or so I thought until you told me about the alarms). Thank you for your correction though.

@davenash, at first i looked back at my post thinking i may have been a little hard on you.
But your complaint that i described you as "a person who can't be bothered to look for stuff" was i think correct, as i cannot believe you "Bothered" to read your user manual or the "Help" menus. :smile.
If those pages are missing from your manual, i take it all back.
No offence was intended.
Hope your not late for anything ever again
