No, I wouldn't say it is pocketable (comes with a belt clip case though which is fine).

Looks like it will only record to internal memory

The 128MB limit also was a big downer for me with P900.

If playback of movies on P900 is same as it is on P800 then the XDA2 is far superior in that respect.

The P900 is still far better as a conventional phone with some PDA & media features. Hard choice indeed.

Holding the XDA II to your ear while talking.... = holding a piece of toast to your face and talking into it!!!

Still waiting for the postman, but i believe the P900 has two different video quality choices, one is meant for sending & the other higher quality is for personal viewing, its this choice that has lead to some confusion over vid playback quality.
I also think 128 limit is strange but i would bet that is resolved soon, as i see no marketing reason for the limit.also 2x128 duo's could easily be carried. (less eggs in same basket).

TO ANYONE WHO IS THINKING OF BUYING A XDA2,
Before you sign the contract make sure the guys in the shop sort out the unblocking code for you.

Other than that the XDA2 is the best on the market.

Mine goes back later today as I can not get it unblocked.

I didn't get mine unlocked in the shop. I phoned billing on 0870 4443046 told them I needed to be able to also put my work SIM in it and they said fine so long as I realise I still have contract with them for 12 months. The £15 will be charged to my next bill & they phoned me with unlock code the next day. Have had my Orange SIM in & connected upto Orange Internet no problem (not managed to get OrangeWAP setup yet but I'm a novice when it comes to Pocket PC setup).

JJayMobile,
sorry to hear your giving the XDAII back but dont blame you.
let the people at o2 feel it.

for the guy in the US, reason you dont hear much about the XDA or XDAII is because its not released across all networks globally or in the UK.
here its only available on the o2 network.
the XDA(1) was available in the US as a T-Mobile device but may have had a different name.

Someone from O2 called me and asked why I need to unblock it, I explained to him that I travel to NY and Spain often, he then said that he will call me back later, with a decision.

Imagine that a F@$king decision.

I HAVE ALREADY MADE MY DECISION JOKER, I'M TAKING IT BACK.

@JJayMobile

Apart from your issue with unblocking, what do you think of it?

Performance
Features
Battery Life
Usability as a phone

Would you recommend the XDA2 having tried it?

The phone is hot.

Camera/Video......
Watching a video is like watching a little TV, it is so smooth.
The full screen camera is great, again smooth even when I pan the room. It even has a Divx player.....Is that cool....

Sound/MP3/RM...file type....
I totally agree with what you said about XDA headphones, crap. I too had some old p800 headphones; they make the world of difference.
This thing plays any audio file….

Size.....
As I have said before I own, a 9210i, and it is smaller and lighter than that.

Phone....
One handed phone calls no problem.....Very clear...and it is very load....

Memory….
Viking 256MB SD - £50
Viking 512MB SD - £140
I would have just brought 3 X 256Mb..

I can not recommend this phone enough, Just make sure it is unlocked…
I am sorry to go on, O2 Wankers.

Bought a 512MB off ebay from a reliable source I have used before. £118 inc. p&p and no VAT. Now using Sony earbuds with a 2.5 to 3.5 adaptor & XDA2 sounds great.

Have you seen the new Microsoft voice software? You can control media player, contacts & diary just by talking to it in plain untought english!!!

You can say things like play tracks by this artist and it does, pause, play, play Jazz tracks etc.!! Even talks back to you
