the pix here are really very nice, but for me the fone is a fone. camera is a camera. both together give a nice couple, even, i am for the old way, a camera should be an accesoire, not a built in feature. it reminds me on the hi fi gadgets. cd, tape, tuner etc all together in one box. is the one of them wrong, have to bring the whole s**t to the service. why to put everything together? the risk, that i couldnt use my fone cos the camera has a bug, would drive me crazy.

I do respect your idea really. Everyone has different lifestyle actually. You might not want multifuntional phone. But for me, I don't wanna carry phone, digital camera and mp3 player etc separate. So mobilephone with good (printing) quality camera gives me a benefit.

Here is the pic taken with SH900i (2 megapixels). If my phone picture quality is as good as this, why do I have to carry another digital camera.

For SE, I didn't say it is not a good phone. S700 are gonna be the best in term of camera as well. It's just not out yet. So it can't be argued that Sharp GX30 is currently the best camera phone in GSM market.

Here is the pic taken with SO505is that S700 is expected to use the same camera module.

ps. this pic and the previous one above come from the same Japanese website. Just to say that there are no any biasness in my post.

Looks like we are in for an exciting year.

I have no issues with Sharp as a company, I just have issues with the size of the phone. If it was smaller I wouldn't be writing this, I would be outside taking pictures, with my new phone that I would have brought at the day of release.

Now if the Sharp had been out year and a half ago, I would have taken it travelling with me, and that would have been king.

But lets get this straight..the phone companies brought us camera phones so we could send mms to our contacts(friends n family ect.) also they are useful for when our contacts ring us we have an instant recognition of who the caller is by the picture tagged onto the contacts phone number.
Also taking into account mms are restricted to about 30kb "thus"...rendering 1 mp pics on your phone not very useful at all.
And i aint talking without backup as i own a P900...With more sh!t than a swiss army knife, and not enough days in the week to use em!

The way i see it, the one thing i ALWAYS have with me is my phone. I don't think i have gone out without one for years! I often wish i had my camera with me. Now if my phone could print 6 x 4s that were indistinguishable then that is extremely useful and a huge selling point. I'm not saying this phone can though. 2M pixels would do me. However, if i have to compromise for things i've grown to expect from a phone (s.e) then thats another matter :-D This message was posted from a T610

In my experience SHARP products are great until they go wrong, then they're pretty much finished as most can't be repaired. My dad owns a TV shop and I've been working their part time since I was 15, learning the trade so to speak. SHARP TV's are notorious for being the hardest to repair. But for things like On Screen Graphics when you're increasing the volume and other stuff like that, it looks great.

The GX-30 is possibly the best phone in the market at the moment, maybe even ahead of the P900 because of the camera, but I'm not so sure about SHARP's mobile UI. I don't know, I just don't like it.
