A ream is a pack of 500 sheets, and weighs about 2.5 kilograms. Therefore, contains about 2 Kg of dried pulp. It takes about 7 kilos of natural wood to make 2 Kg of dry pulp.
On average, a tree when harvested and cut into wood chips, will produce about 315 Kg of wood chips. Therefore, a single tree will provide enough wood to make 45 reams of A4 paper.
