Still i advice you to play around with the S65 before buying it. I was put off by screen resolution and the dull looking menu icons. Keypad was very puny and fiddly too (even my 13-yo stepdaughter thought so)
And to top it all of: the anticlimax 1.3 Mpxl camera, like a 500 bhp car on slick tyres: lovely under perfect conditions, a total disaster most of the time

The S65 has a poor display but it indeed is the better phone! Forget the K700i, no good design, no good software, many bugs, ugly brandings!

Looking at forums is generally spreaking not a very good source of information about how 'good' a phone is because people tend to post messages about what is wrong rather than to reveal their praise.
If you read the ES forum you'd think that every SE phone is faulty and bad. Which is not true of course.

No offence - but a rather silly post I think
1. Design is a matter of taste - you like the Siemens I like the K700 (but that doesnt mean I dont like the S65 design cause I do)
2. Software is as good as on Siemens - lets not forget Siemens software is a "copy" of the SE software as is the 65 platform a "copy" of the SE platform
3. No more bugs than the 65 series platform from Siemens - just visit club siemens and ask around the Siemens users
4. Brandings are vendor specific - has nothing what so ever to do with the phone - you can also get a vodaphonebranded ugly looking s65.
Now please enlighten me - how does any of this make the S65 the better phone, or the K700 for that matter ??

I'm surprised to see people criticising the K700 design alongside the S65, the K700 reminds me very much of the SL45 (Siemens' finest), I like the solid build and design.

Got the phone exchanged, you can see at the bottom of my post what for! I did like alot about the S65 but yesterdays performance when i lost everything was the last straw. Mine had fw12, anyone getting an S65 i would recommend you check it has the latest fw before you get it. 25 is the latest i believe. Good luck to any future s65 users, you'll probably need it!
