if u just look at it based on the following criteria: number of functions per price ratio, then there is no need to debate this any more (or is it?)

If you look at it on a functions:price ratio, then you are changing the topic, are you not?
The original question did not factor in the price difference in any way, did it?

Well I'm sorry if this doesnt fit into the topic header, but I just thought I would contribute my 2 cents.
Personally the looks of my phone are VERY important to me. If a phone I take out of my pocket doesnt look good I just cant fall in love with it or like it for that matter. For me, priority number 1. The thing here is that I HATE egg-shaped phones and unfortunately nokia 6600 is very egg-shaped. I remember when a friend of mine took it out to show off last year, i was like.. damn that is one ugly phone (again personal opinion). That was also the reason I didnt like the p800 which kinda had that style. Feature wise, if the nokia looked better then it does.. I prolly would've gotten it last year, but thankfully i didnt and I went for the p900. I dont regret my decision at all cause since I bought the phone I never grew sick of it and the feature which i love the most is watching movies in a large screen where i can also see whats going on, compared to the 6600 where i was asking my freind.. hmm whats this here, a person?
So at the end you can say all you want that the 6600 has all the features the p900 has, for me it doesnt have the 2 most important things, which the p900 has.

u make it sound like there were many egg-shaped phones before and that pisses u off. if i remember correctly 6600 is the only phone that resembled an egg.
so is it that 1) u hv the foresight to know that u r going to hate egg-shaped phones before one even came out or 2) is it because u got a P900 and 6600 looks like an egg, that's why u hate egg-shaped phones.

Hmm I'm not quite sure I get you. Maybe what I should've stated is that I saw the 6600 before I even knew about the p900. I didnt like the looks from the start even though I liked the features, same thing with the p800, which was less egg-shaped then the 6600, but it stll bugged me.
Now that I have the p900 and I can compare the phones, like I said.. my personal opinion is that I like the p900 better. If I didnt, I would've gone for the 6600 or the p800 back in the days.

*nudge nudge* yeah, the p-series is great, fantastic in fact... But the simple reality is that some of us like our Nokias. I've been addicted to this horse-egg 6600 from Day1, wouldn't easily exchange it for another.

The Nokia's screen is way too small. It is like watching Star Wars on a handheld 2" TV.

Add lack of stereo sound to that

Maybe because you are all used to the big p series screen so the s60 screens looks small. The s60 screen size is quite alright.
