if its a sticker (hopefully not) we gonna have issues like the K700 did.

@ vlamm

congrats on the success of your first theme!!! love the theme by the way

i know what you mean about too many things in the external display...makes it too busy and unreadable...but perhaps a more sillouettish/lowered transparency image will work better?

by the way...i wonder if the external theme display can be animated?

Lynn; Yes it can. But beware that it will slow down the phone, and eat battery...

that's true...how about screen savers? external display got screen saver? does it go to the big "clock"?

by the way, how's the quality of the video recording? as crappy as the k700 & z1010's?

thx

@Vlam
yea i agree... but with a maximum of 1GB it doesnt really matter to me.. hehehe the largest un-animated theme i had on my Z600 was about 1MB.. so animated wud be around 3MB or less... havin an animated theme is cool, unless it slows down the process of the phone.. and its a total bummer..... I juz imagine having the phone with both external n internal animated themes.. man the feeling is so cool.. u hv an all rounder intractive man!!

@lynn
rog.. said the video are still the bad quality ones.. i do not know what are bad quality video.. coz i've not seen an SE phone playing recorded videos b4.. I've seen only the latest nokia phones.. and still same&choppy.. maybe the same goes to SE....

Yer, I hope the video recording isn't as bad as the Z1010. It was just choppy and the quality was terrible!

On the mobileburn site, they have a picture of the V800 with the back cover having the SE logo but the front cover having the vodafone logo. But I've seen the vodafone logo on the back of the V800 in other pictures. Any idea which one it is? The less branding the better!

Also, can we put our own themes onto the V800 using bluetooth and what other limitations do we have with Vodafone? Any chance of the radio being implemented in an updated firmware or is that hardware related?

Themes can be used regardless of firmware. At least for teh time being, they are not part of the DRM policy (although I suspect they will be on future models)

FM radio seems to need some hardware at least to be able to pick up the FM bands

@02

yes i did read what rog had written about the v800...i was actually directing that question at slass or jamin or one of the few who has a later version of the v800. the z1010 resolution is "choppy" but that is the case for such videos as they are recording at half the frame rate of normal video recorders. You'd actually see large "pixels" on the screen esp when there is camera movement

anyway, a little news for those interested in the vodafone's wcdma/gsm crossover capability...i just spoke to a friend of mine who is working with nokia. the N6630, which is exclusive to voda and marketed the same way as the V800 in japan works a breeze crossing from wcdma to gsm. that means that v800 (aka V802SE) & N6630 (aka. 702NK) bought in japan will work all over the world (once we get past the issue of sim-lock).

yippee!
