typical vodafone service. they send me a V800 and a new sim card and the are not open between 8pm and 8am to activate it!
fortunately my vodafone 2g sim card seems to work so far though I haven't tried much with it yet

Sounds very much you advise people against Vodafone contracts?
Instead of just writing what the other operators will do, is it possible for you to write what they will release if you have so much inside information about them.

Cool, i suppose thats the service you get when you have a high monthly expenditure, so how's the menu system? are the icon's ok?

the menu is quite cool. it kind of explodes at you from the centre icon
so far I have tried a couple of ITN 3g video streams but although I am in the centre of a 3g coverage area its is less than impressive.
I'm still using a vodafone 2g sim card and I have no idea if that makes a difference so I will have to wait until 8am tomorrow to activate the sim card they sent with the phone to see if that makes any difference before I comment officially

It will be interesting to see what phones T-Mobile and O2 launch with - hopefully a model designated z800 will be one of them (especially on o2 as I'm due and upgrade in Feb

)
Had a play with a V800 today, very impressive, but the tariff's are not competitive enough to sway me from O2 or Orange yet.
