@marlon - Nice .. . really nice mate ! I missed the MOON shot back then . . . I like it ! When I was about to by my 7.1 MP Canon back then I was opting for the Panasonic too, but I guess they make videocams better . . . but my Dad told me that Panasonic has the BEST 'lens' - Leica ! Is your Panasonic a DLSR digicam or just the plain: point-and-shoot one ? How many MP - 4? I am at AWE here pal

SUPERB !

Thank you mate - Panasonic have only been around the last couple of years but in that time have come a long way my FZ30 is what they call a bridge camera, it looks and has pretty much all the funtionality of a DSLR in terms of full manual control but in auto mode can be used by anybody.
It's 8 MP however you can reduce it to 5mp and 3mp and achieve 15.? and 19.3 optical zoom respectively. The Lens is awesome mate, in terms of range it will shoot from 35mm to 420mm (35mm specs) or 12x optical at 8MP

@marlonski, can u perhaps take the same shot with you W800i and that wonderful digital camera of yours?
just wondering, how it stands next to a proper digicam....

I will mate, to be honest, there's no comparison. I did actually last night but will see if I can get something that will make a good comparison. The night shot taken posted on the previous page would be impossible to take with the w800 as I took that it on a tripod with a 15 second exposure to allow enough light in and used no flash.
I also use photobucket to compress the pictures for posting here because some of them are quite large in data sizde and could not be uploaded here unless compressed.
Keep an eye on the thread buddy and I will see what I can do

I'm not a profesional mate, just have a 'keen' eye.
Here's another snap. This is a picture of the church I got married in. Taken at 9pm a week or so back.
And one of pip at the weekend trying to cool down
