original firmware from setool, is it possible to upgrade the firmware with the regular
online update (provided they will offer one for Z800)?

I seriously hope they release the Jap version asap, I doubt it very much though as Vodafone seemed to be the carrier that took it over there anyway I will wait and see how much I like the new upgrade.

It seems so hard to get an unlocked Japanese model V800 and use it in the UK..

I have already checked and it is only v800 theme.
Is it so hard to take them over usb or bluetooth, memorystick and upload them?

Yes the ones on SE's site only work on the V800/Z800 they do not and will never work on your Z1010.
