I have nothing against this phone or Nokia's but am i the only one who can't see anything good about this phone?...I think the design is completely outdated....the keypad cover looks tacky to say the least...The 8850/8890 are even today far better looking than this 8800...I think its a very very poor attempt by nokia to breath new life into the 88** series.

I was thinking about getting mine engraved, like my 6310i, just at the bottom,
some fool gold plated it, why why why, now that there is tacky of the highest order..

I think this phone is simply beautiful. Very clean and simple design, and the build quality is very impressive.
And it fits perfectly with my car
Engraving is possible, à-la-iPod on the back.

There is one fault I have found on the phone. When the slide is closed you cant use the voice dialing button, you have to open the phone, which is a real pain.
Other than that a superb phone with 80mb memory.

I like it! a bit heavy but its cool, as for the price AFAIK the 8910i is still quite expensive and these type of phones dont drop in price.
8800 would be even better if id had expandable memory...
Dont you just love that metal click sound when you close it!!!

I had my first, if brief, "live" experience of the 8800 today and as someone with an open mind about any manufacturer I still don't see the excitement or why it costs so much
