has you mean there's going to be a tariff change? Because as of now, I pay Rs.399 for just 100 free MB.
Hey really man I think the Rs.5 per day is meant for web access. See the first post in this thread.

See the first post in this thread. The 1st post dosn't mention nething clearly...it just explains the vast difference in GPRS tariff & what the CC told me 2day is their latest scheme (don't know how it was earlier)...why don't U call & speak 2 the GPRS tec...dial 121; then 1 for english; then 4 & then again 4...give U name & cell no & he'll tell U all U need 2 know. IMHO prepaid is a better & cheaper option & thats what the CC agread on.

@nakul... even i have got nokia 6630 n use airtel online (phone gprs only) in bangalore... sometimes even my connection is very slow generally during the afternoon... its quite fast early in the morning or at night.... I'm afraid nothing can be done to increase the speed as such... The speed which u get is entirely dependent on your operator... and to some extent is also dependent on the class of gprs which your phone supports... 6630 i believe has Class 10 GPRS... so i believe the problem is with your network operator Airtel... N yes... I think Airtel in Kerala is not EDGE enabled (Correct me if im wrong) so the EDGE feature in 6630 currently has no application...

Hey.. I have a doubt.. As the speeds depend on the proxy server then why is it that there is a huge variation in speeds of two Apn's the mms.. And the Airtel live.. As both connect to the same proxy server 100.1.200.99 and same ports 8080 This message was posted from a Nokia

@shivam...according to the mms settings which i have received from airtel during the time of activation of the service, the proxy for mms is 100.1.201.172 with port 8799... So i believe the proxies for live n mms are different.. N d speed difference arises because i think at any particular instant of time.. More ppl are using the live proxy (100.1.200.99 port 8080) than the mms proxy.. Also this same live proxy is used for airtel live, airtel online as well as mobile office.. So it has to cater to a very large number of requests..
