It is still a good deal, 3G or no 3G, afterall MTN GPRS and 3G cost the same. If you're lucky and within EDGE coverage, you'll get some good speeds too. But I must say that even lowly GPRS is quite usable on the MTN network these days. I remember surving on that alone for official work some weeks back.

@dawny: Usually, when I do the Daily Bundle thing, I am mostly at home or out and about. As such, I hardly ever use it via PC but on my smartphone. But believe me when I say that I do serious browsing on my phone - more than most people ever do on their PCs. And I don't use Opera mini, so its generally the normal web for me even when on mobile.
The Google homepage is about 2.36 kB, while a Google page on which a search has been run weighs about 6.33 kB. Some websites are have 'heavy' pages. It all depends on the purpose of the site and how it is designed.

@dawny: I changed username 'cos I was bored. Stupid, shey? Why not try regular PC suite? N-series PC suite is likely to work with newer N-series devices. Also be sure you have the right USB cable.

@dawny: Yes; I'm aware of the looming Etisalat launch. They already have billboards here and there. But I'm not holding my breathe. I've learnt the hard way not to expect salvation from any new entrant. See Glo. See MTS. See Visafone. Oh, Etisalat is on TV too now. Any ad you see asking, "Are you ready to talk" - na Etisalat be that.

@Artwales: What handset do u use? are u sure its 3G enabled? Have u set it to use the available 3G network?
I use a Windows Mobile phone, O2 XDA Flame and it is 3G enabled but like Oluyom said, one should still be thankful to MTN for being generous even with the GPRS speed.
