500+ MHz processor limited by 208 MHz bus speed

Could you explain this? I'm really confused

The simplest way to explain this is that the processor runs internally at 500+ MHz, this means the computation speed within the CPU, however, all communication with external devices, which includes access to RAM, is done at 208 MHz and this can cause a bottleneck and slow down the overall performance of the device. It's true that the processors usually run at a multiple of the bus speed but the bus speed is still important where performance is concerned.

Well...funny thing is that mhg2000, they guy that posted at my-symbian, said this to me when i asked about processor specs:

Regarding the specs all software that worked in the P1i which tells the hardware info are not working in the paris thats why i can not tell

He also said other software like mobipocket reader, etc, was working, but things like swiss manager were not working...

So...not only there are physical differences, but more stuff is different between the 2 protos...

Typical SE, they have everything they need to make a great device, what do they do? Cut costs. Replace good looking recessed labels with cheap print, replace a great screen with the one you even see on low enders now, and even change the processor which wouldve made it the flagship it needs to be. I hope its all the other way round, but the guy who kept insisting its SEs year has gone now.

The problem is that from the very first we expected too much from paris and SE ........... and that was the biggest mistake.

Do you realise you still have no real data to be rant or rave over???

So...one should not be to hyped about it, but the opposite is also true. There were so many prototypes with different hardware choices for this device that its very difficult to predict what we will see on shops.

Yes its difficult but it makes it harder when there are people on here who fuel it will silly rumors. It only serves as to set you all up for a harder fall. Im not saying dont start rumors but its always the same on here. This phone has a, b, c and d. But by the time we actually find out about it the phone has only a and c left.

I think we should just stop going on about paris till it's announcement. The only thing that's gonna happen if we continue is that most of the people will rant about it (like me sometimes ) , some will defend it and those who have some knowledge about paris will keep these to themselves cause they're not aloud to tell anything.
So in the end we aren't getting anywhere with this.

The damaging thing is to post that "I have the proto, can't say anything concrete about it, but I can say it's GREAT and SE ROCKS!!!". Then other people's fantasy inevitably starts working, and you see the result, hype and frustration, both without a basis.
