So it's two different screens:
1) Sharp IGZO + Triluminos QD filter + Opticontrast
2) Sony VA with >2000:1 CR + Triluminos QD filter + Opticontrast
I have a feeling the rumors of a super expensive phone is true. It will be more expensive than the Z/ZL at least.

Perhaps the Sharp IGZO + Triluminos QD filter + Opticontrast has a slight edge on battery efficiency because of igzo power saving properties

1) Sharp IGZO + Triluminos QD filter + Opticontrast for honami
2) Sony VA with >2000:1 CR + Opticontrast for togari?

No, both screens are of same quality in every area.

There won't be any noticeable difference in image quality or battery life

I hope that's the case. The term "Screen Lottery" is usually used when companies use different quality screens, hence you have to be lucky to win the lottery and get the better case. If the screens are roughly the same, it shouldn't be called screen lottery.

Well it's still a lottery as some screens would definitely be slightly better than others. In case of HTC One, there are three types of screens -
* 1000:1 contrast
* 1200:1 contrast
* 1500:1 contrast
For honami maybe
* 2000:1
* 2000:1 +

One day before IFA. That seems like a long time to wait, especially without much going on in these forums...
