ares has stated time and time again that itll come in may, were just getting anxious that SE has not announced a high caliber phone outside of the one they didnt even make. which is appalling, i personally dont consider it a SE phone nor will i acknowledge it further in this post.
G900 isnt worthy of the "9" nor the G700 of its "7", the only one that fit was the G502, then it should have been G690/G700. they are NOT highend nowhere NEAR high end. not for 2008 at least. then the W980 which has LESS features than the W960 and is hideous.
i have a SERIOUS question, does SE observe the competition or are they too concerned that everyone is looking at them (no leaks, no outside input from its users)?
SE by NOT taking risks, you inevitably take the biggest risk, and thats staying stagnant. no business can survive without challenging something ever, as proven by the FOURTY EIGHT PERCENT LOSS IN REVENUE, 48% ... now when you need the money to push new tech, you cant even though they increased R&D investment, they are hedging it with lowend volume sellers instead of brand pushers.

I seem to recall having a rant about Paris being not so hot some time ago and then being ripped apart by some of the people here. Anyways, as people start hating the device, I start to like it a bit more.
It probobly won't be the ultimate phone but I bet it will be very good anyhow. I still prefer UIQ to WM as do many of you and I'm sure many will buy it as well. Right now the HTC Diamond is the most desirable handset but Paris is still a good match, maybe not in terms of looks though. Many were expecting the Sony Ericsson 'I will rule the world and eat Nokia alive' phone, which is always going to end in disappointment.
My hopes are with the Walkman phones. They always look good and I eagerly await the next high end touchscreen offering, hopefully with a very good interface. Like the W960, it should do all the functions of a smartphone as well but I hope they make one with the accelerometer, shake control and as many of the cool features that they can fit in.

I shall reserve final judgment when Paris is officially unveiled, as I cannot fully believe the thing is powered by a 2-year-old chip. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. That's for the official announcement to decide. With all the prototypes floating around with dozens of different combinations of technology, who knows which one this latest one is.
I will say that there are many other phones out there deserving of my money if Paris is indeed as underpowered as it has been made out to appear today.
