I have noticed that MTN have revised their daily data package cut off times. You now get exactly 24hours, irrespective of when you purchase the bundle.
@Brym: Regarding the 5mb, 10mb and 20mb gprs bundles on glo gprs. Is this data limit for daily access or is that the ceiling for monthly access? and why different charges for gprs and 3g?

That's great news, any info about refund for those of us that were cheated?

Ceiling is for monthly access. Still can't figure out why Glo has different charges but I foresee that GPRS package failing and phased out in months due to poor patronage.

Hi all. Has anyone got complaints about mtn data services recently? In Surulere, for two weeks now all one gets is "logon failed" even with signals available. When it works at all, its so slow that u'll be in a fit by the time u open two pages. Perhaps the praises came a little too soon, they cant grow beyond being atrocious and this's being polite

@all: MTN's been quite unstable here too in the last few days. It was a bad week! But if that instability was because they were upgrading their system to achieve proper billing et al, maybe I'll let it pass.
I notice too that one gets a full 24-hour window on the daily 50mb bundle since wednesday or so. good!
Now, I hope the instability disappears!
Tried out Glo 3G again yesterday - same old story. Zain 3G is here now too, but couldn't browse with it.

Talking about instability...
Coola bobbing to the surface again.
I want to thank you Guys for keeping this thread going. What can I say? I will improve.
First of all, let me add my little bit on several issues:
- The CDMA Guys have slower data speeds but Multilinks is still great @ N200 per day. Zoom is also giving out its "air cards" for free (it cost 5k). I use Multilinks.
- Visafone must becauseing the other CDMA Guys nightmares. 1 milion subs in 6 months! Meanwhile Zoom/Reltel announced 1.5m subs before Starcomms so that means they are probably ahead. Visafone will probably overtake them all by December.
(Meanwhile, I just don't know why I don't like Visafone. Must be the snobbish attitude I have noticed in Zenith Bank. Hmmm.)
- Etisalat has its work cut out. They will want to duplicate their perfomance in Egypt. I read that they racked up 300,000 subs in the first month, 1 million subs in 7 weeks and (I think it was ) 2.5 m by the end of the year.
(BTW, I booked my line after reading your contributions. This whole choose-your-line strategy may turn out to be the key that Etisalat will use to enter our pockets.)
One good use of the Etisalat number:
My very first MTN number has been re-sold to another person... by MTN. So I will get an Etisa version and just use a pen to edit my complimentary cards.

@coola: Welcome back O! Hope Madam is ok?
@ALL: On MTN's internet service it seems one cannot combine the Daily plan with the Nite plan. I am already on the Nite plan and over the weekend I tried to use the Daily plan. Everytime I sent 103 to 131, a get a reply saying" Sorry you have already bought a bundle of the same kind. Please wait for it to expire." Has anyone observed this?

You are right, brym!. Once on one plan, you cannot subscribe to another until the expiration of the present.
