OK cyco. When i first installed the drivers, i think the app fly 2000 tv reconized the card. it showed a soucrce input which was just a black screen cos there was no input. I turned the pc off, plugged in my composite cable and tried to re open the app. This time, and everytime since, it has said 'Video capture Device not found'. It never did this originaly though :S

Have you had a look around in the settings of your fly TV app? You might be able to select the card manually?

Good thinking mate but the driver installation app checks the motherboard to see if it's a Vaio and if it isn't, it won't install the drivers
You can't force the drivers in manually either. It's like DRM for hardware!

I've found that TV tuner cards are the biggest pain in the arse of all. Unless you've got the disk that came with it, they're a bloody nightmare!
Maybe pick up a cheap hauppage card online? I don't think they're that expensive these days?

Hi cycovision...nice to see your back mate
Just a quick question
In a few weeks I may be upgrading to XP PRO (free upgrade) as I'm already on Home. I want to install some hardware upgrades (RAM, Processor etc.) too. I just wanted to know from you, which would you think would be better to do first? (I will be doing a clean install of XP Pro.)
Thanks!
Kwiksta

Cyco I Got a question.
My pc has been infected with a virus call NEWFOLDER.EXE, which disables adm privilages like unable to open taskmanager, run program, folder options etc.
I've remove da virus but still the above mention program won't run. I tried using gpedit.msc to enable it but it juz cn't help.
How can i get back my adm privileges without installing fresh windows(xp) or restoration.
