You know we only post the better photos. Would you believe me if i tell you sometimes I have to take 10 photos, just to realize the one of them is the good one. Thats the case. Not that the 1020 takes awesome photos. Plus that 4 seconds delay... arghh

There is a difference between taking awesome photos and saying that GS5 takes better photos than lumia 1020 though. None of the photos that I saw of GS5 are better than the ones taken by lumia 1020 both daylight and especially low light

You also have to keep in mind that "some" people out there are too ignorant to really understand true photo QUALITY and simply believe whatever crap they read on the internet. It (IMO) is a very VERY small group of us that without bias can really see past all this and truly appreciate what Nokia has done with this device as well the 808.

How am i supposed to appreciate the "downgrade" Nokia made with the 1020 (from a 808 user perspective) ???

the 1020 to me is p.o.s., I felt cheated buying hardware from 2012 at premium 2014 prices. The only difference between the 1020 and the Lumia 920 is the camera and 1GB extra of ram.

The photos are not any good (compared to the 808 and color wise, to the SGS5). At first, I thought it was me, at the end ALL photos for good or for worse has that yellowish tint.

No wonder why Damian Dining left the company. Jukka stole his place IMHO and didn't do a better job.

You shouldn't talk about things you don't know, Damian Dinning left for private reasons, he wanted to work in the UK, closer to his family.

From an ease of use/UI perspective... not by far from an IQ standpoint.... I struggled for a long time about the 1020 until I realised that the beauty of the device is its low light ability and fun smart cam features. For the times I want pure IQ, there is simply no comparison (IMO)

I guess I can't really disagree here but I only paid 199USD for mine and got the camera grip included.. well worth 200 bucks for the optical stabilization, manual control and DNG files (for me at least)

I've never used and S5 so I can't really comment there but you are right compared to the 808.... however for messin' around and MMS, it's fine for me Mon-Fri... 808 is for weekends and vacation when IQ matters

i had a look at quite a few links with camera review for lumia 1020 after black but i can't see the yellowish tint that you are referring to.

while you are right to have your opinion on Lumia 1020 the fact that it is 2012 hardware hardly makes it a pos. WP8 is designed to run smoothly on less impressive hardware . Also you say you felt cheated that it has the same hardware as lumia 920..., didn't you know that before buying it?

I can only lol at your Damian Dining comment ... Anyway here is a link on how he really feels about the Nokia Lumia 1020

And about GS5 vs Lumia 1020 is it now just the colours that are more accurate in Samsung? Because your previous posts seen to suggest that the camera in general is better in GS5? Which one is it? Because there us more than his accurate the colour are to the overall image quality?

Edit:

Dxomark opinion :

"Testers were pleasantly surprised by the Lumia's color depth and dynamic range but found the sensor's small pixel pitch to restrict performance in low light."
