@da wanqsta: That phone is beautiful, the name is probably derived from Ubiquitous. For such a powerful device it's quite cheap although the lack of 3G/HSDPA might make it less attractive when all the odds are stacked up.
Really enjoyed the cricket today...The Indians came with negative tactics towards the end but eventually karma was on the side of the South Africans. I might be going to the fourth day of the New Year's test match.
Wish everyone who posts here a happy and prosperous New Year...this place feels like family...strange but true.

Brixster, I think you're right about the name possibly stemming from 'ubiquitous'. Seems quite obvious now; I'm just surprised that I didn't pick up on that myself.
Yup, it is a cool-looking handset. I'll phone the UK networks soon to see if they can provide settings for this handset.
It is a pity about no 3G, but at the very least it has wi-fi.
Yeah, this place is a kind of a family of sorts; look forward to the day that we can all meet up in SA somewhere.
EDIT: @ bongz n' brix,
Thanks, and here's wishing you guys a fantastic, unforgettable (for all the right reasons) and prosperous New Year as well!

@ da brixsta,
What's with The Gunners' indifferent form this season?
How the hell did they manage to lose to Sheffield United?!

@da wanqsta: You may have noticed that I've tempered my excitement about the Gunners this season...it's been hit-n-miss with them...I didn't see the game but like you say, they should not be loosing games like these. At least Benni's good form in front of goal is proving a consolation.
PS: Thanks for the good wishes.

Hey! So I couldn't sleep, so I stayed awake for the sunrise, and got some pictures of the final sunrise of the year...and a few random shots in the garden. Here goes!
A panoramic shot of the sky. Yeah, a tree and some clouds blocking the sun, but hey....(dial up is so slow...)
A single shot of the sun through our nut tree...
The following two is some random efforts at getting the ultimate dewdrop;-)
A Harley I found in a garage at a house one night where a colleague is house-sitting. Let the good times roll...
Anyway, thats it from me for 2006...signing off...till next year;-) Have a good one, be safe, have fun, wear a silly party hat, enjoy the fireworks, and don't do anything you will regret...

That pic is great, Francois!
Guys, enjoy the last day of 06, take things easy and take care, especially if you're going to be using the roads.
To our Muslim brothers, may you enjoy a blessed Eid, and may the day and year ahead hold only peace, joy and happiness for you and your families.

@francoislr: Nice pics but please could you make them slightly smaller because these ones take up a lot of bandwidth, especially for poor sods like me who aren't using ADSL.

@ Francois,
Thanks for sharing the pics.
BTW, do you realise that 'Let The Good Times Roll' is actually Kawasaki's slogan? I'm just being a technical bike-geek wanqa.
Anywayz boet, you have a bril last day of 2006, and may 2007 be a blessed one for you.

A peaceful and properous 2007, gentlemen and ladies. In the words of this old Irish blessing, May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your
back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
