Right click the folder with the files and you should see an option 4 sharing the folder. This message was posted from a T310

hey i saw some ppl talkikng bout nfs and halo. both are really cool games as long as ur playin it online with other ppl. single player sucks. i play halo almost everyday.
hey i have a problem sharing files too. i have 3 laptops on a wireless network with sharing enabled, i see all the 3 laptops in 'my network places', but when i click any one of the laptops shared file it says " something like contact the administrator and that i do not have permission to access this folder". sharing is enabled on all 3 laptops why do i get this message then???

that could probably because you are logged on as a non-admin user account on the computer from where you want to access the shared folders..... that's my guess

Hmm..... try to do this, incase if you have passwords to the account on laptops whose files are shared, disable it. I mean, disable the password for a while and see if you can access (open) the file from other computer. Just a try, see if it works
PS: what OS are you using on your computers?

no passwords are set. using win xp home edition on all 3 laptops, the funny thing is if its not on the wireless connection (ie when they r plugged into router) i can access the files on one of the laptops frm my laptop but it does not work vice versa. as far i know i have put in same settings on all 3.
