Nice to see so many people asking when the next fw will be available. I heard a rumour that it is due in November !-)
Still - whilst I wait on my repaired K800, I am using a Nokia and by God I tell you - no matter how many minor bugs the SE may have (though I think the phone is excellent), the Nokia is carp.
Stop whining - it could be worse - it could be a Nokia.

In the new FW i have also realised:
1) in contacts if you have a smiley before the name, like i did, phone restart itself if you go to this name in phonebook. no chance to fix it in the phone. you must save the contacts to MS and edit it in PC.
2) new songs in video DJ. please correct me if iīm wrong, but i havenīt seen this tunes before.
a) adventure
b) LA Vice
c) Sci- fi
d) Silent movie
hope next time come a major video camera improvement......just dreaming

Is it a safe way to upgrade?
Who is programing firmwares for WOTAN? Is it SE?
Why doesn't SEUS release a upgrade at the same time?

Yes is the answer to the first 3.
last question. Wotan Purchases the SE before it reaches the SE update site.
This is why the charge you. SE always release the firmware to companies and service centers first, All manufactures do. SE is no different.
Reason behind this, (It makes them money)

Your video question was covered earlier in this thread. Take the time to go back and read it. It is hardware related. Only so much software will do. Buy a camera for real video.

Got to agree - a real digi-camera is better than K800 and a DVC better for video.
And I havent a single bug with Canon digi-cam or Panasonic DVC unlike K800 which is good for occaissions but...
