WM 6.1 not UIQ, i wont be touching it with a barge pole, slower more prone to crashing, I'll stick to my P1 thanks and UIQ.
If they did a UIQ version then i would be more than interested.

1500 mah means it'll get through the day on heavy usage... what more can you honeslty ask for? it's unreasonable to ask for a smartphone to go 3 days on heavy usage... it won't be terrible like n95 it'll be along the lines of e61i, e90 and p1i etc..etc...
the only go thing about wm is that you can always go up to newer versions.. so even if it's at 6.1 now.. you can easily go up tp 6.5 and 7 etc..etc.. and the xperia panel thing will have no issues since it's pretty much just a pretty skin interface

That's a good point, you can always upgrade to the latest wm os. Though I do hope its very finger friendly to begin with and doesnt need much tweaking.
Battery should be fine since the latest os is more power efficient and the battery is a larger capacity.
Any pics of the dialpad? I seriously hope se skin the whole os.

It does not have Accelerometer. it might rotate the UI when u open or close the phone but accelerometer is a whole different motion sensor.

Not necessarily. It all depends on whether the newer versions of WM will use similar hardware.
For example, WM2003 devices were unable to be upgraded to WM5 because WM5 introduced softkeys that WM2003 lacked. WM5 could be upgraded to WM6 because it used the same hardware buttons.
WM7 is a different ballgame and may not be compatible with current WM6 phones. And even if it is, it's up to SE to actually provide the update (or your carrier if applicable).

When you slide the keyboard out, it rotates. There is also a screen orientation key on the bottom right of the phone for switching between landscape and portait.

Xperia X1 is only a MARKETING move (smart IMO)... please get that.
It is like the adopted brother in the

family (not saying there is anything wrong with being adopted) :
- No Sony M2 support
- No Cybershot camera
- No Walkman music player
- No Bravia screen
- No Fastport connector
- No shake me or sense me or accelerometer, etc..
The only thing that makes me recongnize it is a

phone is the fact that 8 months will have to go by between announcement and release, and ok, maybe the arc sliding design as well, coz i usually like SE's designs (but i think there was already a slider in an arc shape, right? the banana phone from moto remember?)
cheers.... still waiting for the P5i and the new FW for my great k850i.
I

SE...but i like to keep it real.
