used the G900 for a couple of days now.
My first comments / Problems:

1. Photo quality, pics are poor with white foggy tone. The phone is still new and the lens is still untouched, there is no grease, fingerprints, or dirt on the lens. I am really disapointed, since my pics are not even close to other G900 pics I found in this forum. My G900 was produced 2008week25 according to the sticker behind battery. Does someone know if there are modified / improved camera released later on newer G900 phones?

2. The phone can not be recognized by PC Suite software and I tried to reinstall everything several times, removing and reinstalling ports and drivers etc, but nothing works! The problem occur when phone is in Phone mode! I also updated phone software but no change. Does anyone have a resolution to this?

1. We may hope that the camera software will be improved by FW upgrades, but no certainty there. A good trick to remove that white veil on the pictures is to decrease the lighting setting to -0.7 or -1.0 (press the D-pad left when holding the phone horizontally in camera mode, or press 0 to see the shortcuts).

2. I have had that problem a couple of times too, when trying to sync. Sometimes connection between the phone and PC drops, that's especially scary when and if updating the FW or doing some risky thing with the phone. Haven't figured out why it happens, maybe my cable is faulty, or sth like that.

Can't test it further, my phone is in for "repair" (read: removing the dust from underneath the screen, and try to seal the screen properly to prevent it from happening again; the whole thing will take 3 weeks (((

Well it's not good, especially when compared to my old K800. But maybe it will get a bit better after a while. I got a spare battery, because mine won't last a day when used a lot (like when using GPS and mediaplayer constantly when touring, my old K800's BST-33 will last about 3 hours in my G900!).

Thanks for the info. I read on the sony ericsson website that the battery should be charged for atleast 2 hours and 30 mins for the initial charge.

How long did you charge yours for the first time?

I charged it at least 2.5 hours. But it said full after about an hour. Out of the package my battery was already half charged, so I guess 2.5 hours is just to be sure.
I also read it takes a while before the battery reaches it's maximum capacity, and that it should be drained completely before recharging every once in a while.
Like I said I got me a spare BST-33 for only 20 euro's, always handy, doubles my range.

@wah007 do you use swiss manager and kill all tasks, as this will save on battery.

The screen uses the most power i have mine set on 80% - makes a big difference

sator1973 so maybe the battery is just generally short then. yeah its good to keep spare battery you never know when you might need it.

creid I havent got my phone yet but it should be with me in 2 or 3 days. I just wanted to know how the battery life is and how fast it drains. thanks for the tip though I will do it when I get my phone.

kinokunya: I tried to install a SNES emulator .SIS for playing Super Mario World (:D) but it also didn't work!

Anyone got any decent games or know where to get some? Specifically, the Shroom-seeking Italian Plumber type?
