Those screens are from @zackbucks, which he confirmed are ALL prototypes, not retail versions
Saying EACH screen even prototype is different. From Z1 owners in China I have heard good stories that they are better than proto's FYI

that "test" looks weird to me.
for example,
in the first photo of all 8 screens, the middle two in the top and bottom rows are the brightest to me.
second photo, the middle two in the top row and the 2nd from the left on the bottom row seem to have the best brightness/color at that angle (can't really tell color shift due to the dialer being used)..
third photo, the 1st one on the left of the bottom row seems the best of all the screens.
Finally, 4th photo.. the most right on the bottom row seems like the best.
I think this is a visual trick based on the angle of the camera being used to take pictures of the screens. That's not to say there isn't some differences between the screens (there is always some % of difference from one batch to another i'm sure), but the difference, i don't think, is as drastic as these pictures seem to make them appear.
I don't understand when people take pictures to show off viewing angles of screens, why they always put phones side by side when the angle of the camera to take the photo is DIFFERENT depending on which side is closer to the camera. a more accurate method of testing the viewing angle would be to place each phone individually in the same spot. Move the camera to exact points and angles using some kind of mechanism to recreate each shot perfectly. THEN, take each series of photos and place them side by side. This is the only accurate way to show difference in screen quality, color, and viewing angles.
anyway, i'm not gonna let it bother me. still ordered. still quite happy
i don't think it's a trick. some displays really look different from different viewing angles. could be brighter or dimmer when viewed from the left, right, up or down.

miro.. i know some do look different from others at different angles. but it's not a fair comparison unless the camera angle is the same for both devices. when you put two devices side by side like that, and like they do in all those viewing angle comparison photos/videos, both devices are not subject to the same viewing angle, thus giving inaccurate/unfair comparisons.
its not critical in this instance, just something i notice in these types of comparisons. especially when people are comparing flagship devices.

i like that reviewer. while he doesn't give the most accurate information about the z1 specs, he does give the camera a good run through and testing and shows what it can really do.
very impressive indeed.

I won't bother with 20.7MP, because for me 8MP widescreen is a win already.
