anymore news on when the next fw version is coming onto SEUS? I'm not bothered about the one that fixes gprs as mine works ok (unbranded phone with O2 sim updated to R1J). All I want is for the camera/video to be returned to it's previous greatness!!

cheers

I have contacted my provider (Telmore) and they said that there will come a new firmware within 14 days.

98% of SE's own employees will have no idea when the firmware comes out - so don't expect a service provider to know it - they tend to spew out dates arbitrarily just to get rid of people So... Most likely not 14 days.

He also says that W800i fw R1K005 runs just fine on K750i.

Excellent - does this allow the GSM function to be turned off for use in hospitals / airplanes?

@ carlha

Unless you change the CDA, it will be rebranded. This can be done with DaVinci.

@ sebby

Thanks for that but what is the CDA. I understand you can change this through DaVinci but how?

The CDA is just a number that tells the Sony Ericsson Update Service which firmware to download and install on your phone. So at the moment, it will tell it to download the Vodafone firmware. Assuming you're in the UK, fill in the details in DaVinci as follows:

- CDA Number: CDA102338/38
- CDA Revision: R6A
- Model: K750i
- Language Variant Name: EUROPE_2

If you're not in the UK, let me know and I shall amend.
