A fan buy what he likes.
The question was purely out of interest as I'm buying it regardless. How many £ GBP is the Honami likely to cost, at a guess?

I don't know really but you can expect £500-600 I think...
What did Z cost at launch there? Add then + £100

For fans it may not be a problem but Sony needs to win non fans over to increase their market share, right?

True but I think many old fans don't use a Sony device anymore and switched to other brand. So Sony need to catch them back also.

Not many fans right now like Samsung's, but let's expect the fanbase to grow as soon as Honami gets revealed.

Their high-ends could be powerful, but they're not getting a bigger market share if they abandon the mid-range and low-end markets. They shouldn't just put all efforts in their flagships but the lower specced phones as well. The Xperia SP and L, IMO, does not have that hype the Xperia U and P did last year which helped a lot in Sony's 2012 market share. For the first half of the year, their market share might had mainly depended on the Xperia Z.

After reading those 6 new pages or so from this night, regarding the new battery tech and interchangeable lens, I must say:
This is too good to be true. As someone said, it is a Xperia. It will have a major downside that will make us/reviewers not like it. But we should see it officialy in less than 2 months... Let's see how it goes.

Hope Sony try to add their Transfer Jet tech to either the Togari or Honami it would be a massive welcome as sometimes I need to transfer large amounts of data between phones/tablets and Bluetooth is to slow this would be fantastic if anyone doesn't know what Transfer Jet is here is a link as to why I think it would be a welcome addition to future Xperia devices anyone agree?

Will the Honami at least have digital zoom?
Why are you so keen on zoom ? Do you plan to do wildlife photography with Honami?
And of course it will have digital zoom, even you ancient X10 mini has it, so why won't Honami have it?
LOL
Nice to see your 'professional' view when replying to this question, pal!
I was to much of an amateur to see it. Now it's clear that the whole photography profession is left with these two options: no zoom and zoom for 'wildlife photography'.
What an useless reply that was!

Well, so long as we are day dreaming about nearly impossible features let me add my personal wet dream - the physical qwerty keyboard.
But seriously, Honami is nearly perfect the way it is, no need for over reaching with stuff like optical zoom.

I've been reading too many of these crazy rumors, I think... I've had enough of them.
I will be more then pleased to see the 1/1.5" sensor becoming reality, but when people say it will be only 12mm thick, I cannot help feeling a bit skeptical about all these optimistic 'XR5' rumors...
