Update: battery usage with only GSM radio
I repeated my typical usage pattern today (well actually did a bit more with the web and made 30 mins of calls as opposed to 15 mins) and where I normally have 35% battery charge left I had 43%. The difference was not as great I was expecting - this is probably because web browsing and ebook reading does use the screen a lot.

Is there an extended life or higher density battery for the phone available?

has anyone fouund a way to have the backlight turn off immediately?
I've got a 2 minute power save but when I know I've finoshed then it would save battery to turn it off right away.
on my kjam you just press the power button
this is most worthwhile when you make many short uses of the device

How? I very much doubt that it will work, because ActiveSync is Microsoft-technology.
The PC Suite *might* work, but there is no mentioning of Lotus Notes in the specifications.

The screen is quite useless in daylight, i can't read an sms or even the contact list outdoors. Is this really the same company that made the P910?

@adhussain
I found the default theme improved the ability to see the screen outside - some of the darker themes do not help. I have not found a situation where I cannot any of the information - okay I'm in the UK and we don't get that much sun shine
