For goodness sake just be quiet! DO YOU WORK FOR SE? Why do you keep saying the C905 is in the past? Presumably you would personally like to see the end of it and are trying pressure forum readers into choosing another phone.

I didn't realise SE were contractually obliged to give you new firmware every few weeks just to stop you crying. If you can't contribute anything useful to this thread then DON'T post anything.

Not being one-sided or anything here, but to be honest i think the chances of the C905 getting new firmware is pretty low. It was to be one of the most talked about phones, but all in the wrong way, the fact that the phone has been discontinued is yet another story.

I think SE Screwed up with this pone, had the potential to be a major hit, yet was a major flop.

Although, i would like new firmware, im not saying everythings fine with my phone, but i just can't see it.

Hopefully ill recieve my C905 back of o2 soon, im sick of this Samsung D600 Lol

Just curious, why is this phone considered a major flop?

The fact that the phone has been out around a year and has already been discontinued. First batch of phone all had major issues, and even now, the phone still has major flaws, some of these include,

Wi-Fi,
buttons not functioning as they should
random parts of the phone breaking
earpiece
random freezing
charging issues
dead batterys

the list is endless

In all my time of owning SE phones, that be 7 years, this is the first time, ive had a SE break 3 times in 7 monehts, infact all my past SE phones have never broken, not even the W880i when it got dropped in water.

I see. That's quite unfortunately. I'm happy with the phone. Of all that you mentioned above, the only problem I had before was I couldn't press the button. I sent it back to SESC and after that it's fine till today.

were most of these issues with the original black c905's or the newer AT&T silver C905a's?
or both?

I had black, now I have copper gold and never had any problems with c905. I still think I have a good phone! I want to buy Satio as my next phone but I think that I am not gonna leave C905. It will be my 2nd phone. Besides of it I think C905 is best SE ever for me.

hi, i'm new here

and i'm also new to phone modding. basically, i only know a little about flashing phones and i haven't done it yet.

i want to flash my c905 to get the chat view messaging and the smile shutter(i just want this two) , but after reading the treads, it seems like it is quite hard to find the right one FW:(

can anybody tell me the latest FW for c905? i'm tired googling and read the post and i'm confused which one as i cant understand the FW.

mine is R1BA042.. i thought it is the latest since i ran the SEUS but it still doesn't have chat view and smile shutter..sigh~

a help is really appriciated. thx!
