Yes it is intriguing thing this whole WP7 situation........
I mean manufacturers WANT to customize their products.
I also don't imagine copy&paste lacking there.
There were signs MS is "considering" this after comments
and complaints.
This is a big surprise......
However the interest in WP7 is big.
I still thing WP7 wil be a serious thing.
However multitasking and txt operations are a must
a complete idiot can consider one-click links opening
as any REPLACEMENT of copy&paste.
What about any Office or mail text edit?!
So how should one work?
Erase everything and write again?
It's like a joke.....

The funny thing, I bet Microsoft was shooting for the iPhone when it developed what WP7 can and cannot do. Ironically enough, Apple has copy/paste and rumoured to start supporting third-party multitasking....so MS is going to have to work at a breakneck speed to prevent this gap in features from lingering around.

Like them or not WP7 one of many recent ballsy moves from Microsoft, who are clearly holding their hands up and admitting that several of their market's have switched direction and they're going to have to do the same if they want to continue to operate in them.
Describing the move to WP7 as a re-boot couldn't be more appropriate, the step to get where they are to a genuinely user oriented device was huge. The steps to re-enable multitasking, cut & paste and UI customisation are relatively small and will be taken in response to market feedback. The iPhone is missing many "geek critical" features and is a huge success. Whatever my views, they realised that the market wants attractive, reliable, easy to use devices and made one. For example, my Satio has dlna support, I know it does, I found it in the menu the other day. I know how to use it, but can't imagine I ever will. How many customers care about this, or will ever find or use the feature, certainly not the hordes of people in the largest segment of the market.
Whatever happens in the future, this is a platform that should enable

to quickly release stable phones with considerable market potential. That can't be a bad thing and I can't believe that the X10 platform is very far from supporting this. Sadly

are getting very good at holding sealing leaks, but it'd be nice to know that there's an

device there very soon after launch. I'll certainly be trying to get hold of one.

Have

finally fixed their leaky faucet? Why have the leaks & rumours stopped people? Why have we not seen anything new since MWC?
I hope there is nothing new from SE for some time, hopefully SE will scrap there big summer announcments and replace the September announcment with the big models.

Some low end stuff to come, I heard that something unspectacular could be announced in April with a Summer release.
Maybe W100 aka Spiro:

After the mostly high end releases recently I don't think anybody should be disappointed with a low end phone or phones particularly at this early part of the year. There is still a market for those and SE would be foolish to ignore that. A good experience with a low/mid end SE usually leads to a purchase of a high end SE from a consumer's perspective, so it makes sense that they cater for that market. I just hope those phone are not SAGEM made cause that would be a horrible user experience!
Surely there are bound to be a few high end phones towards the end of the year. I just hope that SE announces when they have one month ro go before release.
I also wish/hope for a candybar QWERTY phone like the P1/Aspen running Android.
