I played with an Xperia X1 briefly yesterday and the size just blew my mind away. I was expecting it to be wider than my P1, but it was quite narrow for a 3" screen device. Even the slide -out QWERTY is the smallest I have used. A really compact device, though I found it a little bit slow navigating the interface.
This and the N97 are out of my league, so am looking forward to the 5800 Xpress Music.

Abeg no dey talk like that. You be big boy now. Plus, if you really need to get one of those devices, you can use AliretaMobile's easyphone purchase service to acquire them on an instalment (yes; shameless self-promotion).

@Oluyomi, AliretaMobile's easyphone purchase service to acquire them on an instalment (at mobiltynigeria.com), hmm this is an interesting read, Oluyomi when i'm ready I'll give u a call, but in the interim how much will u value my E90 if I were to trade-in? (I sent the pix when i described the peeling face)

@areafada: Thanks. Greater details as to how the EasyPhone thing works are available at http://www.aliretamobile.com.

One of the conditions for trading phones in is that only phones purchased orginally from AliretaMobile qualify. As such, your E90 wouldn't qualify, since you purchased it from elsewhere

Two, to evaluate it would require more than just pictures. A physical inspection by our team is required.

When ready to try out our service, feel free to call 07095002280 or 08062167275 so the man who runs that department of the company can attend to you.

In the meantime guys, visit AliretaMobile to get acquainted. Spread the word

OluYom, those are some really good benefits listed on the Alireta site. Something along those lines would certainly do well here in South Africa.

@kryptik and namzo: Thanks, guys. We spent quite a lot of resources in coming up with the idea behind AliretaMobile. In one month, we superceded the projections for 12 calendar months!

It is almost scary, but people are taking up the service quite well. AliretaMobile certainly has a bright future.

PS: Has anybody here seen the blatant lie that Zain is spinning? They are claiming that Zain Ghana's HSDPA service which was launched yesterday is the FIRST 3.5G NETWORK ON THE AFRICAN CONTINENT OUTSIDE OF SOUTH AFRICA. What kind of lie do we call that?
