hahah razec.. you just need to carry everything by the handle on that lense. no need to worry about the phone at all.. haha..

@ramu - sure hope the lenses don't attach like that. the magnetic method described for the XV sounded much more elegant. whatever device and accessories you posted looked.. hideous and like toys.

razec...

Actually if you need any replacable lens to be used you have to add a powered and connected adapter to the phone, the lens might have built in motors and might not ( in that case it will have mechanical power from the camera - the powered adapter in our case )

The adapter will serve three purpose
1- adjusting the focal length between the sensor and the lens.
2- providing the mechanical and or power source to the lens and also signalling from the phone to the lens to adjust focus and/or zoom level
3- providing more juice to the phone...

in another hand, what I prefer from Sony is different approach...

creating a smart camera like Samsung...

Using MirrorLink to completely control the Smart Camera using the phone ( the phone will be used as a remote screen and touch control also )... both can be on same WiFi network, or using WiFi Direct.. or even using active internet connection in each device...

The Smart camera has several accessories and adapters including adapters to plug the phone directly on the camera and uses both cameras to have some 3D depth of the scene ...

But an other option might be possible to connect multiple Sony smartphones to the smart camera and use all to create a Matrix effect video :F

Brilliant yeah ? I know but Keep dreaming Sony fans

^^ Man, I'm sure I'm not the only one praying that the likes of you be hired at Sony

but what you said was true, Sony lenses do not have AF motor at all since the motor itself was built inside the camera body, and same thing for Image Stablization in which case A-mount bodies employ IBIS (in body image stabilization) (E-mount lenses are optically stabilized) I also have one more thing in mind to dream of, 5-axis IBIS like the Olympus OMD-EM5 since Olympus officially agreed to supply Sony some of its imaging tech and has even agreed to develop e-mount lenses, for those who are not aware of Olympus' lens quality, their Zuiko lens lineup are considered one of the best lens ever developed, which in some cases can outclass even Zeiss and Leica glasses in terms of sharpness.

ramu's picture would make sense to us if the lenses were built using high quality optics like the G lens for instance, but I'd personally prefer an Android NEX camera, NEX 5R already supports touchscreen and all that Sony has to do is to clear the back area of button and use all the space for the touchscreen, while retaining essential keys like the camera shutter, ISO, power button and a dedicated jog wheel for quick aperture and exposure adjustment. Galaxy camera's biggest flaw among enthusiast photographers based on what I've read from various photography sites was that most of its manual controls are buried deep within the touch interface, what's more the manual controls UI eats alot of space in the UI that it gets in the way of the image frame, so it makes framing much more difficult when adjusting image parameters. Sony can do a much better job with this.

There's no problem with dreaming, we can discuss futuristic stuffs here since this thread is for future devices to begin with

Is an insider going to post the full specs list of the Honami shortly before its launch?
