Yeah, those of us lured by The Dark Side of the Cells, championed by the Dark Lords of S60...
Emperor Darth Mario will be most pleased.

I guess I must be a 'cellphone-soutie'; one foot firmly in the camp, the other in the Nokia camp and my...oops, I'll stop there.

lol! Lets face it, a good phone is a good phone...If Nokia was less commercial I would consider it more. Everyone has a Nokia around here. It is annoying. iPhone will bring in a different spin, but it will be high-end pieces, and it will be popular. That means that the lower end market will slowly get more handsets made focussed on it. It will be interesting to see what exactly is going to happen in the market.

Yeah, I've never been one to follow the crowd, but I don't let that cloud my judgement when I see something worthwhile.
I mean, I would've been dof not to have bought a brand new N73 for £140 (approx R1960), for example.

BTW, have you guys seen the new LG KE850 Prada PDA? A fashion PDA...

So did you people see this? Statements by Vodacom jumping on the iPhone bandwagon...I should have had more faith in them...I don't know if I should be disgusted, happy or amused...lol!

Yesterday I was at a client, and at one stage in the control room the conversation was about phones. Eventually I told them they should see the iPhone when it comes out next year. Then this girl told me that they gave iPhones away on 5fm this morning...as if! Maybe for in a years time, but there is no way anyone is getting their hands on them anytime soon...worth a giggle!

The devil wears Prada (apparently), so now it seems he has a phone... hopefully the KE 850 won't be a troublesome handset of note...

Seriously though, I think it looks damn smart, a kinda clean, uncluttered and purposeful look thanks to its spartan, clinical lines. Yeah, I like the looks of it! Coulda done without the Prada label though.

It reminds me of some high-end hi-fi amps that look so minimalistic yet are loaded with top-draw internals. There's a definite appeal there.
I'm not saying this handset has anywhere near top-end internals, but it's exterior possibly (and perhaps purposefully from an arty viewpoint) belies its PDA capabilities.

Agreed, that LG certainly looks good, and its specs aint too shabby either...

Sort of like a fist in a velvet glove, lol. Power outages getting bad here, most suburbs are being shut down on a rotational basis, 4hours or longer at a time even though Eskom says it won't be longer than two hours at a time. Yeah right

And now over to our Cape Town correspondent Brix to inform us about the effect of the power issue on the people of this fair city. Brix?

...
..
.
So yeah, we just have the rumours here, so would like to know exactly the status of issues. I will be sure to have my phone charging every possible minute of the day.

@wanqa, hey boet, i'm impressed with the photo quality of the N73. It's one of the irritating things lacking on my N70.
