6.1 mega pixels.....output from the nikon d70 with kit lens AF-S DX 18-70mm....all shots taken at JPEG fine mode 2240 x 1488....some shots are tripod assisted to avoid camera shake due to the numb/cold fingers holding the camera which is both weather and excessive alcohol ingested related

Shits,

Nice photos... am also thinking of upgrading from Canon A80 to D70. Am very concerned about shutter lag though. Maybe you can try to take a few photos of fast moving objects and advise results? Need to capture my kids expression lah!

u won't haf any problems with shutter lag...the continuous shooting mode is capable of 3 frames per sec with an internal buffer capable of 12 continuous shots if recording as JPEG....one of the fastest available in the prosumer bracket (mind u its still a dslr tho).....shutter speed goes as fast as 1/8000 sec...in many aspects, the d70 is as capable if not better than the d100 but much more affordable.....

u might wanna check out the review here

after some checking, here's a few action/motion shots (taken by another d70 user) u might wanna look at....it'll give u a pretty good indication on how fast and intuitive the AF is
