Hi Kriomag. I've tried your 7.7 camera driver, very impressive

I have some question about spot metering mode..
I tried taking a picture with spot metering mode and normal metering mode with ev increase.
I hardly see the difference result between these 2 type of shooting. Here's my test images..

normal mode

spot metering mode

normal mode with +1.0 ev

I just thought that spot metering mode will increase only brightness of the center object.
But my test image says that overall brightness of the picture is increased.
If it's true, why do we need spot metering mode while we can achieve the same result faster with plus ev in normal mode ?

hehe, because thats how spot works it measure amount of light in the picture and set it to be best for central object other objects are not important so can bo overexposured (yes, its the same thing as EV + but done automaticaly). I noticed SPOT is very good for Macros (flowers etc )

@Chengrong;

I found this comment in your camdriver v.8.54:
//Mar 27,2007 add two scence green grass and cold
You have 2 new scenes?

//********************************************************************
// 0 => Sports 1 => Normal 2 => Landscape
// 3 => Portrait 4 => Nightscene 5 => Nightportrait
// 6 => Beach/snow 7 => Document 8 => Manual Exposure
//--------------------------------------------------------------------

Are the scenes position change?
