engadget reviewer says sony will release an update soon after USA release that will tune battery, camera, and provide RAW support. who knows if that's something new or this reviewer is just taking the "update will be provided to give raw support soon" and putting his own interpretation on it.

@Supa_fly - agreed on the so called "speed tests". they are ridiculous.

very impressive showing of low light ability. comparison vs. iphone 11 pro max doing 30 second shutter on tripod.

the differences in the images taken by both phones is remarkable. 1ii looks like it was shot in the morning or afternoon (he also says this in the video).

Speed test versus Mi10 pro!

P.S

For those who do not like such video test or waste their life do not click it. Nobody is pointing a gun at you and forcing it upon you to do it. These type of videos were created because some people dig it and how the phone manages its ram (thats why and hence the video production )

Engadget: Sony told that shortly after July 24 (the day 1 II released in the states), a first major camera firmware updates will be released. What user can expect; better battery life tweaks, improved camera performances and RAW photos in PhotoPro app.

That's all good but i'm more concerned about software support sony promises 3 years but xz1 lasted till December 19 and xz2 series didn't go beyond may 20.

Isn't the Xperia 1 ii part of the Android open source project? Besides, if the 1 ii sells very well I am pretty sure, Sony will extend it's support for 1 ii.

Here's engadget part 2 review

skip to 11:51, you'll see the image of the lady which really blown me away for a telephoto camera.

swollen battery is just bad luck sometimes. your phone is out of warranty, just purchase a new battery and swap it in. not that big of a deal.

my XZP is over 3 years old and the battery is still solid. i don't get software updates anymore though. the last update was august 2019, which is in accordance with their update policy. i don't know where you read it is 3 years? some other companies do, like samsung.

2 years is google's minimum requirement to license android.
