You can answer that yourself, right ?
No, that's why I asked. ?
randomuser is so stupid. He can't answer whether we, individuals all with different apps, usage and charging patterns, will require juice defender when it's our personal device with our own apps on it, and we are not obliged to do anything anyway because it's totally optional and third party. Such an idiot, right? I mean, we'll have extended battery life options, Qualcomm battery guru, or a charger every few days, but he can't be bothered to put a gun to our heads to force us to get an app.
First he doesn't tell us whether a phone of post 2010 with a key selling point being the camera will have DIGITAL zoom, which virtually every phone for the last few years from all manufacturers has, then ignores this question, telling us to ask ourselves. Can he get more stupid?
I know, right? And think of all the massive amount of pages of this forum thread that would be saved and not used if people would ACTUALLY ANSWER the questions asked, there and then when they click the reply or quote button and type a response. It amazes me...

Are you seriously replying to that comment or playing along with it? Well, doesn't really matter if it's the former or later. Won't do any justice to your intellect and character regardless.

Time may be long until we get fresh honami news/confirmations.
Regarding future xperia devices, any insider info on the firefox os device? Will this be 2013 device? Only select emerging countries? Any info on specs?
As for the non insider rest of us, what OS do you think Sony is or should look into? And what is your rationale? I read about Jolla and Vita os in the past.
Personally i would like to see high end ubuntu touch devices with full maker (here sony) driver support. Driver does not need to be open source, as long as it can be installed by users. Sony could also release their flavor/fork it. My rationale is not very rational: i guess i just want to see how far the devices can be taken. I also hope it would make it easier to upgrade and add/get rid of carrier apps. I also think it would perform better than android as would not be programmed in Java, but i am not a specialist, appreciate others views on performance here - understood these are assumptions, ubuntu touch is not here yet.
No idea by when cannonical will be ready and if some makers or Sony could pick it up in 2013.

Ubuntu touch will use the existing Android drivers and kernel

and from what I've heard from Mark Shuttleworth on his video interviews at Youtube, Ubuntu Touch could possibly arrive on Q4 2013, but devices might arrive next year

IMO, sony has always been a premium brand that they have charged a premium price for...before apple came and stole the thunder, sony was THE premium brand...Thats what i think kaz is trying to bring back...the premium feel, the wow factor that many of us used to get when sony was in the golden days...thats why their products have always been a bit pricier than the competition...i have never felt that wow factor with lg, htc or samsung products...they are simply 'meh'...im sure if you ask an apple fan they will say the same thing...after all, steve jobs loved sony...
duo13 and vaio pro are a tough choice...but i really like the form factor of the duo...surfslider is actually really cool...
i hope all these new phones doesn't dilute sony mobile's market share...i mean, xperia L, M, E, J...they are all too similar...doesn't really have that differentiation that S, P, U, T, V had...Z is the only worthy phone to have this year IMO..i thought sales of xz were meant to be really high, but it seems they actually lost market share last quarter...pity...
does anyone know if the transparent UI will be coming to this year's phones?...ie. Z, SP etc...
also, on the topic of different OSes... will sony ever make a windows 8 phone?... after using and actually enjoying windows 8, i actually will consider a windows 8 phone if and only if sony make it...the other brands windows phone just dont cut it for me...even nokia can't cut it...their lumia 928 seems like a refreshed 920...unfortunately, there simply aren't enough apps on windows 8 or windows phone 8 yet...

Yeah, loving the premium feel of Sony products over the past year. My RX100 camera is absolutely amazing - everyone loves this thing. The Tablet Z doesn't even feel like a tablet... it's amazing to think of all that tablet goodness in such a thin, lightweight form factor.
The new VAIOs are indeed quite nice. I'm now going to have to make up my mind on whether I get a Tablet Z, a Duo 13, or maybe wait and see if there's a new tablet this year. Or I might wait until next year if I can live with my Tablet S a bit longer.
Sony's already going to be getting a ton of money from me later this year with Honami, PS4 and its games, and presumably the new smartwatch that's been rumored. Absolutely loving this shit
