evein all... hmmm.. missed a few posts whilst i've been away.

all i can say is this. Yes the UK thread does have a lot of non mobile related chat and in a way that's what makes it good as it is a place for all us UK users and very many non UK users to have a general chat about everyday things and not clutter up the rest of esato with it. You have to remember many of the members know most things about their phones and it's good to have a place for the esato users to chat about everyday things as well i feel.

Also people do post mobiles or technical questions on the thread and this is also good and i've always found that in general almost all of them do get answers with links to other threads or plain simple advice. ... and yes some do get missed as the thread does move very fast...

T68king i'm sure u would have got a response to ur question if u had left it a little bit longer but anyway welcome to the thread...

Evening guys how are you all, did you all have a good xmas and get what you wanted :->

tell you what selling phones is too much like hard work. I am knackered no matter how much i try to help people are still not happy and everything is my fault.

And MY customer service is piss poor????? what a dick

..Let me ask you guys this bear in mind where i work, not nokia! not orange! a phone shop.

Guy comes in today complaining about a prepay his son bought 3 ish months ago a nokia 3510, claiming that the phone is a business fone and worth a hell of a lot of money to his son and that in the last three weeks it will not ring and that he has lost £11,000 worth of business, f*** that the son looked 12. Anyway i had a look at the phone and over the space of an hour tried ringing the phone and guess what always worked. the father getting rather irate starts shouting that he would not bring a phone in if it was not broken. I asked had the son played about with the profiles, just as the son was about to anwser father butted in, "course he doesn't, what the hell are them!!!!!" the son then looks sheepish and looks down. but i ignore it, as not to embarrase the son. Anyway explained to the dad ok then i will send the fone away fo repair, first statement "how long is that GOING TO TAKE!" well it can take a couple of days to two weeks, the odd exception can take longer. So i offered him a LOAN phone, and i will be honest we do ask for a £50 refundable deposit to ensure safe return of our phone. He was not happy at this and told me to get a new phone out the back for him. Our systems will not let us do this not sure why but that is our company policy.

Tried to explain this to him but wanted higher authority, but i was managing the store. He was not happy and told me to get the managing director of P4U on the phone!!!! This is NOT possible. Then continued to say that my service is shit poor and that i just f***ed about with his statutory rights, daft thing was ... i was offering to issue a loan fone for free and i pay the fee..

Any way he is apprently going to Throw the fone in the river and never come back again. Saying Argos would take the fone back and give him a new one...

I wonder would they had let him keep his £11,000 sim card that orange need to be returned with a returned phone.

I am sorry but some people are just never happy.... especially when the phone was not at fault.

Again let me ask how you lot would have approached this problem.
