Agree, that disadvantage uses the C902 which picture look better. The K850 one looks like the phone has filthy lens.

It does seem that proper contrast makes a better image.
But the details in C902 seems a bit off.
I think, IMO I can replicate the same effect on my K850 if I am to turn my ISO to 100.
I also think that it is the reason why they placed smart contrast on the new C905.

With the K850 shot, I think the sun is in the wrong place IE it is creating the sunbeam effect on the lens cover of K850. Makes pics look washed out. I removed my plastic lens cover and noticed huge differences in daylight shots. Still makes pink reds though. Drives me nuts.

How do you remove it without damaging the case? Tutorial please!
I've read a blog about a guy who removes plastic lens cover and makes a comparison pic.
Purple fringing problem is gone!
Red to pink conversion happened due to low saturation. Use photoshop and increase saturation by 15-25. See what you get. I didn't know why SE can't fix this easy problem until now. It's all about camdriver.
Or we can use modded camdriver to get that fix.

I always thought that the purple/pink fringing was caused by the lens alone.
But SE should be able to lessen this effect via camdrive rendition.
Or maybe they think that there is no problem with their phone(?)

Well, im not sure how I could do a tutorial as I have already remved mine, but it was so very simple. I had a small hex screwdriver (possibly t5? One size smaller than T6 anyways) and removed the two screws at the bottom where the hinge is (Battery cover). From here I proceeded to lift off the back housing (Carefully unclipping it along the sides exposing the internals. Here you have direct access to the lens cover. I carefully peeled it off (But keep the silver ring and stick back into the rear cover) and put it back together! Voila! Works a treat. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. All I know is its the best thing I have done to improve images from my K850.

I heard one guy just got his finger nails in between the glass and the sliver ring and popped it out, as it is only held together with a light piece of glue
