Finally got an official generic UK (CSC - XEU) firmware on my phone that works with kies. V2.3.4 is apparently the current official generic firmware for the UK even though some operators have 2.3.5 available.
Need to download 7-zip to get the firmware and then flash via odin. Phone will go into a reboot loop. Enter Recovery mode and delete cache and then a full factory reset and reboot.
Got the 2.3.4 firmware from the xda. forum link a few pages back. Put it in the phone section on Odin and flash it.

I love ICS.Using Wescrips Ressurections Remix V9.4 ICS rom and it is smooth;fast and stable.Getting myself in the mood for the official release.Truth be told though I might just wait a wee while after the release for complete roms to start appearing because Ive become so used to using ClockWorkMod recovery that I dont feel like having to do it all over again.Everythings working perfectly and Im flashing roms to my hearts content.I like flashing zips with CWM over Odin. Also backing up and restoring in CWM is a beauty.Got three roms backed up.My official Vodacom firmware-2.3.4,Checkrom RevoHD-2.3.6 and CM 7.1-2.3.7.So when Im bored I switch between those.
Wont be able to stop myself from installing the first official ICS release I can get my hands on.
C'mon Sammy.Make my month.

Can get 2.3.6 but only with a Frankinstein CSC and is a developer version.
Mine came from O2UK with 2.3.5 installed but according to kies and xda. The only newest official generic/non branded UK firmware is 2.3.4

The case is great although the flip can be annoying at times. With having the higher capacity battery the standard backplate type case wouldn't fit anymore but the flip one is much better.
Got to get hold of another audio lead though as the one I have in my car won't connect properly with the case on.
