I too have the same problem.
I get as far as updating the K700i, the phone switches of and then about 20 seconds later i get a error saying error in comunication with the device.
i have tried 2 k700i, Both on orange and both already at R2AE, 3 comps, No firewalls or virus checkers, updated with java and older one and i get the same problems.
Any ideas guys and gals.

I had this problem sometimes..the trick for me was to do a master reset on the phone so he would erase everything .. hope this helps you ..

Surely someone has an idea of what is going on, some suggestion for me to try out?! Its weird that nothing happens when i click next!
Please somebody, its driving me nuts as it worked ok when i upgraded my firmware about a year ago.

How long did you wait? Its a java app and can take a while to load (the reason they suggest closing other apps). I've usually not had to wait more than two minutes.
